  • Well, it is that time of year again, when the pumpkins are ripe and out in the fields. The corn stalks are turning brown and for us the leaves are just starting to turn colors. Welcome to autumn.

  • A candy corn walks in on a murder scene!

  • Straight from the camera..as is / / While taking a walk along our street, I had a bright idea of taking a shot at ground level of the corn stalks. Well, that didn’t work too well, they were so tall they were way above my head so I had to hold the camera up and take the shot hoping it turned out okay. It took a couple shots, but this is what I ended up with. I thought it turned out so pretty with the sky. Thank you for viewing my work. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy creating it. • Arcylic painting with mixed media. This idea was taken from my young childhood days sketchbook . / Sometimes i used to go in a big field, away from it all.. / with my skecthbook and paints, looking up at the sun, to me the sun’s rays used to look like all these sparkling, and dazzling rays, coming towards me. With the fields and corn everywhere, i used to see patterns and images , as the breeze blew them into this and that shape, or is it, and always be, the fact i just have a creative head with illusions in me, .............. don’t know, will anyone ever understand how i see things….......

  • Combination of several images edited in CS3

I will add another to the fields of joy we share here on RB.. Enjoy A Card To Cheer Up With

  • This is a macro of the inside of a flower, but please don’t ask me which one because I have no idea what it was. LOL Scott said it looked like candy corn so the name was born. Candy corn for those of you that don’t know is a rocket ship shaped candy that is three different colours; red, yellow, and white I do believe. For those of you that may wonder, I did not manipulate this photo in any way other than to crop a bit off to get this to RB dimensions.

  • ‘Join in black December’s sadness, lie in August’s welcome corn. / Stir the cup that’s ever filling with the blood of all that’s born. / But the May Day is the great day, sung along the old straight track. / And those who ancient lines did ley will heed this song that calls them back. / Pass the word and pass the lady and pass the plate to all who hunger. / And pass the wit of ancient wisdom, pass the Cup of Crimson Wonder.’ Jethro Tull – Cup of Wonder Featured on Red Bubble Homepage on 25 August 2009

  • Featured in Dimensions August 20, 2009. Best on Full Size Having some fun with the macro/micro lens in my garden (Montgomery County, Maryland) the other day, August 3, 2009, I found this darling little critter (thought she was a grasshopper but have been told by wiser heads than mine that she’s a Katy-Did) enjoying brunch. Loved the way she munched away on the flower thingie like a cob of hot buttered corn!!!! Handheld image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon macro/micro lens. Shutter 1/640, aperture f/13, exp -.33, iso 200. Minor cropping and levels work in Photoshop.

  • Featured in Best From Around the Barnyard September 12, 2009. / Featured in Image Writing (2/24) September 12, 2009. / Featured in ! #1 Artists of Redbubble! September 8, 2009. Best on Full Size A summer cornfield along Route 869 between Osterburg and Pavia, Pennsylvania. This image is actually fairly deceptive. I spent a lot of time working on a b&w sky and doing sc on the world below in order to create a somewhat threatening summer thunderstorm image. It fit as the world you see here, all sunny and golden, is actually thanks to the texture I eventually chose. In all reality, just as I took my last shot and headed back to the car big giant ploppy drops of rain began to fall … and those pretty clouds you see there Opened Up!!! LOL Image taken August 8, 2008 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm Nikon lens. I was inspired by a beautiful image from Svetlana Sewel called Road To … to resurrect this one from the pile and play a bit. It was treated with HDR in Photomatix from 5 images, all from a single handheld, at evals of +/-2. The texture added is courtesy of Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art. I also cropped a bit of the sky.

  • almost thru,been a long day,sun is setting,casting a golden glow

  • Best on Full Size it really is When I first began taking photography seriously … and believe me, as much as I joke around, I do take it seriously … someone gave me a wonderful bit of advice: “always turn around.” And in the case of this particular image, it couldn’t have been more wise. I had been chasing the “sunlight-through-autumn leaves” look all that afternoon … and without a whole lot of success, I might add. At one point, I happened to glance back over my shoulder and snap this image … and a couple more for good measure, of course. But it wasn’t until I got home and loaded it up that I realized how much I liked it. Hope you do too. Image taken off of Church Road, Howard County, Maryland. Handheld image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens, uv filter … not sure if the cp filter was on or not. Shutter 1/250, aperture f/8.0, exp. -0.33, iso 320. Cloning of evil telephone pole and wires then off to Photomatix with three images at +/-2 evals, then back to Photoshop for a light, light Orton and a hint of texture.
