When we rocked up in Jaisalmar in between these great walls the first thing I saw was this little girl ..balancing..on this rope..wauw i thought how amazing…i watched her many times, she had to earn the family money, mum and dad and little baby where there to collect the money. / I spoke to the father, he told me when he was small he used to do this for many many years, now it was his daughters turn…..she was a lovely child,,but i did feel sad too…. In Kennebunkport, Maine there was an art gallery that sold all kinds of copper wind sculptures. The lines and shapes in this intrigued me. The sky was white that day, so I thought that it would be awful for photo taking. However, I was glad that it gave such a spare and sparse background for this particular shot.

This little girl was walking (and driving) on this big high rope with all these pots on her head, wow what a side and what a lovely smile. She had to earn the money for the family, her father learned her cause he used to do it.. now he’s to old so so took over the family business. I felt sad in a way too! Jaisalmar, India
