  • ! Their breeding range extends from southern Canada to northern Mexico. The average adult male, at 312 g (11 oz), 39 cm (15 in) long and a wingspan of 73 cm (29 in), is considerably smaller than the average female, at 500 g (1.1 lb), 45 cm (18 in) long and a wingspan of 83 cm (33 in). All have short broad wings and a long, round-ended tail with dark bands. Adults have a dark cap, blue-gray upperparts and white underparts with reddish bars. They have red eyes and yellow legs. Immatures have brown upperparts and pale underparts with thin streaks mostly ending at the belly. This bird is somewhat larger than a Sharp-shinned Hawk and smaller than a Northern Goshawk. • I photographed a family of Cooper’s hawks for about a month every Friday, from the fuzzy white heads peeking out of the nest to when the youngsters were learning to fly. This photograph was taken in the Green Valley (AZ) Gardeners’ Arid Garden. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 50.

  • This is one of 2 of the very last minis made in England, and bought to Australia to shot the difference between the New BMW Mini, and the old Classic Mini. I personally own a 1986 Austin Mk III Mini Cooper S, and it’s one of the most fantastic motor vehicles I have ever driven. A few years back, I purchased a New BMW Cooper S supercharged mini, and I sold it 6 months later.. As for my classic one, I will never sell it, she is part of the family :) One day, I will race her, in Targa Tasmania. One of my long term goals. Shot this beautiful mini at the Noosa Classic Car Show, Sunday 27th September 2009. Noosa Heads, Queensland. Canon 50D, 22mm. Available Large!!
