I feel sharks are peaceful by nature and being over fished, killed by nets, and by finning ( fishermen take all the fins of of the shark and throw the shark back into the water alive and unable to swim, there are no regulatons on this activity). You are more likely to be hit by lightning then to be bit by a shark. Sharks usually only bite because they mistake humans for their favorite food the seal. If people don’t help the shark they will be come exstinct in the near future. I feel they are very graceful creatures and should be protected. Another birthing story today – Greeting Cards. Like the mounted prints – we start with a big box of Kodak Endura paper like this: As per usual, we fire the big ‘laser’ at it: After that it gets processed, It’s pretty dark inside the machine… You’re just going to have to use your imagination abit here – lots of rollers and developer: Next (one of my personal favorite machines) the 600 ft roll of paper goes into this cutting machine: Which spits out individual card prints at the other end, really really fast: Now we have a big stack of card prints: The next bit, is our trade secret, so no explinations – just a few pictures: / / / / And finally after a quick trip through the folder we get a finished card like this: To be honest I forgot to take a picture of the packing process, so you’re just going to have to imagine about a thousand cards being sleeved with B6 envelopes and sent out to bubblers all around the world – It should be no surprise we make way more of these than anything else. I’ve photographed a lot of these hover flies (also known as flower flies), but I’ve never seen one with so many spots and stripes, even on its eyes! Hover flies are known as “wasp mimics,” but they are neither wasps or bees, and do not sting or bite.

When Uggy was a kitten, his family nicknamed him Uggy, for Ugly, sort of like in the ugly duckling, because he definitely was not the most beautiful kitty. No one seems to remember his original name, now. He is Uggy, a very affectionate and quite eccentric pure bred Cornish Rex. He weighs less than 8 pounds, but his heart is as big as the sky. i captured this during a bush walk one fine day but it wasnt until i got home i saw how casual the bird was standing. we are laid back in australia, it is proven by the wildlife!
