Black cloud / Gaining ground / Find me a home / In brand new arms / That won’t let go

For lost hope and his son / I’ll avenge what once was / Grant me the strength to stand up straight / To make them pay / Show me the way / For his name and his love / Spill their blood

Feeling happy or blue, this is the image for you. A portrayal of the many moods of our heart.

I know, I know, I can just hear all of you now, this is a bit ‘dark’ coming from me, but I’m just stretching out of my boundaries a little…it’s all you lot’s fault you know, you dare me to be different and creative…. ;-)

In the cold / I claim this day / As I charge blind / Into the fray / And in the name / Of all my pain / I’ll bare my teeth / To make them pay

The last of the sun before two big storms moved into Oregon and caused major wind and flood damage. Shortly after taking this picture, the first of the two storms moved in. The coast was hit the hardest with winds up to 129 mph (279 kph) and torrential downpours. The storms hit throughout the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington). A short time after the first storm moved in, a bigger and more fierce storm rolled through causing even more damage to areas that were already flooded. A bad start to the winter season.

A combination of two shots.

All the elements seemed to converge this night, was a truly serene image.

For the Lines Challenge Just a pylon! Had to lie flat on the ground to get this angle :) Available without the border. My dear RB friends, I appreciate your comments greatly! I prefer to reciprocate them rather than thank you individually so please do not be offended by my lack of replies here. I shall be commenting on your work instead. Thank you all… Astrid x

Erwin Raphael McManus. Wide Awake. Sometimes we need to focus by concentrating on where God is calling us and not getting distracted by external pressures, circumstances, struggles, and problems. We need to focus all of who we are until we have the convergence of all our energies and refuse to be overwhelmed by all the options out there. We need to ask not only where am I going? and what should I be doing? but also who am I becoming?

At the bus stop on the way home tonight…

This is an experiment with a special “Newton Twist” formula, created by Toby Marshall. The spirality is unusual for a convercence fractal, so I’ve decided to work a bit with shapes, to emphatize it with a simple shape, and without using complicated algorithms.

The Atchafalaya Basin, a huge expanse of swampland in southern Louisiana, is traversed by an eighteen mile long bridge, part of the I-10 corridor which spans the state. I got this shot from a boat as we glided under the east and westbound lanes.

When curves and straight line collide …
