This was taken on the first outing with my digital camera to the Mt Coot-ha Botanic Gardens.

The last of the sun before two big storms moved into Oregon and caused major wind and flood damage. Shortly after taking this picture, the first of the two storms moved in. The coast was hit the hardest with winds up to 129 mph (279 kph) and torrential downpours. The storms hit throughout the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington). A short time after the first storm moved in, a bigger and more fierce storm rolled through causing even more damage to areas that were already flooded. A bad start to the winter season.

Lincoln Cathedral (in full The Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln, or sometimes St. Mary’s Cathedral) is a historic Anglican cathedral in Lincoln in England and seat of the Diocese of Lincoln in the Church of England. It was reputedly the tallest building in the world for nearly a quarter of a millennium (1300–1549), though this height has been questioned.[1] The central spire collapsed in 1549 and was not rebuilt.
