  • Taken at Point Roadknight just minutes from Anglesea. The Great Ocean Road passes close by in Victoria, Australia. Also part of the Great Otway National Park that runs down much of the coast from Torquay right across to Port Campbell. HDR from 3 exposures, white balance adjusted in Lightroom as well as a few other minor touch ups.

  • Shot at Corio Bay, Geelong. Amazing clouds and perfectly calm. The sun had just gone behind a cloud and this acute contrast was the result. I didn’t do much to this other than a levels adjustment and a crop and straighten. The HDR look happened naturally. / View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes

  • In India, our culture believes that there are many universes like ours as we see today, and each is governed by Lord Vishnu. There are as many Lord Vishnu as universes originated from the MAHAVISHNU representing the Brahmañ who is silently takes part in the divine play of creation – Lila. I spotted this water lily in my recent photo shoot. This time the rain had blessed me to make this theme happen :) The tiny water droplets make me recall multi verses and the enlightened water lily the Brahmañ here. Reposted after noise reduction ( 02.01.2009 ) Equipment Canon EOS 400D & Canon EF 70-300 mm lens @ 300 mm. HDR Generated work. 3 single exposure images merged. processed in CS3.

  • Long Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Canada / March, 2008 Taken at Long Beach, just outside of Tofino on Vancouver Island as the sun set on a wet and windy day in March. With all of the dark clouds looming it was wonderful to see how what little light there was washing over the wet sand creating a magical effect.

  • They say that the grass is always greener on the other side… ...it may not be that easy to get to but well worth the effort! I’ve been trying to get to those greener pastures for a while now and yesterday its looks like I just found a gate! It’s not green but the future is definately looking brighter! 29.08.08 Taken on the road from Tofino to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. British Columbia. March 2008. Thank you Claire once again for putting aside your camera for a while to satisfy my whims!

  • Because it was a little blue thing in a sea loch of vibrant reflections. Yes, the colours are pretty realistic. See this panorama for context. Taken on a Sunday afternoon drive from Troon to Inverary .

  • This is the last of my collaberation with sculpture student :) The tank of water was so so so cold!

  • You know the grips in a water bottle… well that’s what this is. I took the aquafina label off, and put some colorful wrapping paper behind it. There was a few bubbles in the water, which looked cool with the texture of the bottle. It looks like a droplet continuously dropping into a puddle to me…haha. Enjoy! I used my 105mm macro lens for this.

  • Such a mighty stream! No surprise that the waters of Trümmelbach are so powerful; the area this brook drains includes the famous glaciated mountain trio Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau... Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland. July 2008. Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135, Manfrotto tripod. Post-processing: retouch, tonality adjustment, sharpening, colorize, crop to square, subtle frame.

  • Samsung GX-20, Sigma 50mm macro

  • High Key of a boat tied to a dock, this is an older shot taken with my D40x Nikon D40x / 18-200 mm lens

  • This is my first attempt playing with food dye, water and my computer monitor as a brightly lit backdrop. See here for how I created this shot. (The stack of dvds were implemented after this shot was taken) / / This was pretty damn difficult without a tripod or assistant.. One hand holding the camera , one hand holding the dropper, full of dye. Having to get focus on the camera, hold it straight, shoot and drop the dye at once.. I need a tripod haha! / / I had heaps of fun trying to make this work though. Soon learning that dropping the dye closer to the front of the glass allowed for more clarity in the shot. / / The next step will be multiple colours, but not till a tripod is involved lol. Featured in Color & Light / Featured in Out Of The Blue / Featured in The Beginners Corner / / Slight crop of original, adjustment of brightness and contrast for colour control. / / Canon 50D / 58mm, 18 – 55 / f5, 1/320, ISO 1600 / / MCN:CRR2W-5HDN9-7U4H3

  • Round two of the Rainbow Drowning project. See here for how I created this shot. (The stack of dvds were implemented after this shot was taken) / / Was holding the camera portrait for these ones, to get a bit more depth and length in the shots. The dye squirted harder than expected, causing a fast and long rippling effect in the water. / / Loved the contrast between light and dark in these ones and the background blur too. / / Crop of original shot, with adjustment of brightness and contrast. No other enhancements to this series. Featured in The Male Photographer / / Canon 50D / 58mm, 18 – 55 / F5.6, 1/80, ISO 400 / / / / / / MCN:CW9F2-AMK6S-WPAKR

  • Canon 50D / Canon 24-105@40mm / 5.6 / 1/60 sec / ISO 200 / WB-Preset / Cokins: P121s Top; P001 (yellow) / Shot in mono – straight from the camera /
