“The twisted trees reflect on the contrasting reds of the earth and the blue waters of Coongie Lakes.” Acrylic on canvas.

Taken at Point Roadknight just minutes from Anglesea. The Great Ocean Road passes close by in Victoria, Australia. Also part of the Great Otway National Park that runs down much of the coast from Torquay right across to Port Campbell. HDR from 3 exposures, white balance adjusted in Lightroom as well as a few other minor touch ups.
Shot at Corio Bay, Geelong. Amazing clouds and perfectly calm. The sun had just gone behind a cloud and this acute contrast was the result. I didn’t do much to this other than a levels adjustment and a crop and straighten. The HDR look happened naturally. / View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes

They say that the grass is always greener on the other side… ...it may not be that easy to get to but well worth the effort! I’ve been trying to get to those greener pastures for a while now and yesterday its looks like I just found a gate! It’s not green but the future is definately looking brighter! 29.08.08 Taken on the road from Tofino to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. British Columbia. March 2008. Thank you Claire once again for putting aside your camera for a while to satisfy my whims!
Every morning I go in to work and take the same route, that is, walk from the bus stop, go up the same flight of stairs and walk down the same hallway to get to my office. And every morning from that hallway window, I see this very building and pretty much every day (unless it’s a pretty grim day or raining) I think about how pretty the reflections of the clouds and sun really look (is it obvious yet that very simple things make me happy?). So it is pretty obvious that this would eventually make it as one of my photos. Needless to say that I have adjusted the contrast levels to make it a little more dramatic but bottom line, it’s just a picture of the building across the street …
Okay…. My kids made me do it!!! They found this snail in the garden and insisted that I photograph it so here’s the result.
Because it was a little blue thing in a sea loch of vibrant reflections. Yes, the colours are pretty realistic. See this panorama for context. Taken on a Sunday afternoon drive from Troon to Inverary .
