  • This is an image representing the cover up of emotion. So many people put on the face of beauty and happiness but inside are rotting and hating. They hide this hate and destruction with a painted face of joy. This is not to be seen as ‘demonic’ in any way. The original picture was taken by liquid-venus Comments and critiques are welcome. Layers: 17 / Hours: 7

  • Studded little Moments
    by phantomorchid

    US$3.85–US$102.60

    Self Portrait

  • Red Girl
    by Specular

    US$5.70–US$152.00

Airbrush work, created over several days. Inspired by old films and screen icons of the 50’s, Gena Rowlans, Lauren Bacall etc, trying to capture some of the beauty and contrast of the film stars and the photography back then, while adding something new. Its a special piece for me as it was the first piece of work i sold, in a small gallery in Newcastle a few years ago now, and gave me the confidence to exhibit more work. Hope you enjoy, ant comments welcome.

  • Neighbor on the kitchen floor about to paint her toenails….but this is how I saw it.

  • Partial
    by Paul Tupman

    US$4.28–US$114.00

Back on 1st January 2008 I started out on the 1.1.1 Challenge set by Claire to capture the year 2008 in photographs, taking a single photo, every day for the whole of the year… Anyway, 6 months down the line and with the Challenge Cafe hosting a competition strictly for “New” work, then I thought what better than to highlight this challenge once again… and to show that I’m still at it! Every new day brings a new picture… I felt that this self portrait reflects a lot of what I have been doing lately… a lot more black and white and an ever growing love of high contrast and drama. Here’s to another good 6 months…
