  • Part of a short series of images taken in an authentic and derelict church manse in Glebe, Sydney. It was located on the same piece of land as the original Church (which was also disused). These shots were taken during two visits – the second and last visit spooked me so much – I’ll not be going back…this stairwell was just so rivetting. The colours here are the existing tones in the original image with some slight enhancement.

  • B&W film shot. A photo from my 1940’s/50’s inspired series of my sister.

  • An old piano that has obviously been well used and hopefully well played. :)

  • I was wandering around the Tripoli Medina (the old city) and came across these 3 doors. All different and unique. A little help and i think they have come up well. / . / ! http://images-3.redbubble.com/img/art/border:blackwithdetail/product:mounted-print/size:medium/view:preview/666779-1-gharyan-ancient-pottery.jpg!:http://www.redbubble.com/people/craigshender/art/666779-1-gharyan-ancient-pottery / . / / . / / . / / . / / . /

  • featured in “history” group Two buildings in Market St, Melbourne. One old, the other newer. I liked the contrast between the two and the sun trying to peek through. I hope you like it :) /

  • Old bushel basket with summer daisies.

  • Graffiti covered bins in Melbourne’s CBD just 1 minute away from my Uni on the way to Melbourne Central Station. HDR done in Photomatix and saturation / vignetting in Adobe Lightroom. :) Sales 2 Framed Prints 1 Greeting Card Click here for my other images of laneways and graffiti. • An edit of a photo i took at Cape Otway Lighthouse just of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road in Australia a few months ago on the 28th of February 2008. HDR’d in Photomatix from one RAW file . Found a pic of some birds i took at Elwood Beach a while ago and added them in Photoshop. Some tweaking was also done in Lightroom including the black and white conversion and above is the end result. The Lighthouse is just one of many beautiful attractions in the Great Otway National Park. CAPE Otway Lightstation is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe. Sales 1 Greeting Card For those interested this is the original image: Click here for my other images of Victoria This is what it would look like as a medium mounted print with my details:

  • From my Grandfather’s Ninety-Fourth birthday party.

  • An old lantern next to the entrance to the Virgin Mary Visitation church in Hejnice, Jizera mountains, Czech Republic. I feel that giving light is very symbolic for this place where the pilgrimage roads from several countries cross since the 13th century… February 2002. Canon EOS 500N, Sigma 28-135. Post-processing: retouch, blend-modes, color correction, watercolor.

  • Taken at Monsalvat in Eltham, Victoria, Australia. I couldn’t resist this approach as the old house begged for treatment and a dark and moody atmosphere. Hadn’t been here since I went there for a wedding as a young child, this approach to the image is sort of what I remember the place being like! HDR from 3 exposures in Photomatix, Adobe Lightroom conversion to Antique Light and then birds added in Adobe Photoshop CS3. • Just lately I’ve been having a nice time posting all sorts of random things for all sorts of distracted reasons and thats been lots of fun. But time to run another series across the screens of bubbleland…..and that can only mean Infrared images are coming up. I love the dark and mysterious light that can be inticed into being with B/W infrared film…. and yes all my IR work is done the old fashioned way with film….. Kodak High Speed Infrared film to be exact. This particular series was shot in Sydney some years ago at the old Reschs site on Lachlan Street as it was being demolished to make way for a new housing development in the inner city. I was fascinated with the destruction of all the old buildings and how the hidden backs of structures of were revealed by the rolling waves of demolition. This urban landscape of ruined reality and brand new dreams set in the piles of rubble took on a profoundly mysterious atmosphere and became a landscape setting suitable for colonization by the imagination…...hence the title of the series…..Landscape for Orson Wells….. this one is the first and its the very corner of a building that no longer exists…. except in this photo…..... so it can now be a building anywere you fancy it to be and it can signify any thing that you the viewer would like it to mean…....
