Georgian terrace, once owned by the gentry as Dublin townhouses, then many were tenements stuffed with the poor whose landlords were the same aristocrats now also down on their luck. At this time, 1995, they were somewhat less stuffed with students and the odd lawyers office. It was late but not that late for one person at least to clean the porch. Taken from the roof on a very cold winters night. Later, we threw snowballs.

Another nice contrast of a dark bruise like purple and sharp yellow leaves.

Two trains race each other to Richmond Station on a chilly Winter’s evening in Melbourne, Australia. HDR done in Photomatix, the 3 trains were all added from seperate photos of the same spot in Photoshop which is pretty new to me. Was then converted to a Sepia Tone in Adobe Lightroom. An old lantern next to the entrance to the Virgin Mary Visitation church in Hejnice, Jizera mountains, Czech Republic. I feel that giving light is very symbolic for this place where the pilgrimage roads from several countries cross since the 13th century… February 2002. Canon EOS 500N, Sigma 28-135. Post-processing: retouch, blend-modes, color correction, watercolor.

Outside at night / Not to give fright Fern of green / Can be seen This photo was taken in the evening (no flash). I thought the green of the fern contrasted well with the evening sky. One of my top 50 night shots. The pattern of the fern is one of the most common in nature. It is a natural fractal. / Taken with the Sony Cybershot 4.1 pocket camera. It was a cheap shot as I only had to step outside my front door and the storm provided the bg for free. Only cropped. /
