This leaf seemed to be making a strong, bold statement as it rested on the root of this tree…bold against the green mosses growing there, bold against the breezes that sought to carry it away. How can something so inanimate seem to say so much?! (taken near Milton, PA – October 13th, 2008)

Our Autumn has been terrible this year, alot of rain, and wind, which has rushed the leafs off the trees, but my daughters yard is full of beautiful yellow maple leafs, this one I captured on her deck, I like the contrast between the yellow leaf and the dark wood of the deck. / Taken in Pigeon Michigan / Nikon D90 / 18-200mm VR Lens /
