  • Interesting cloud formations over the continental divide in the Rock Mountains. Photographed with Canon Digital Rebel EOS300, 80-200 Telephoto Lens Wayne D. King’s images are a celebration of life, blending the real and the surreal to achieve a sense of place or time that reaches beyond the moment into a dreamlike quintessentialism designed to spark an emotional response. Using digital enhancement, handcrafting, painting, and sometimes even straight photography, King seeks to take the viewer to a place that is beyond simple truth to where truth meets passion, hope and dreams. © Wayne D. • Sprague Lake is in a beautiful setting at about 9,000 feet in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and boasts very picuresque views of the surrounding 14,000 foot peaks (known as “14’ ers”) of the Continental Divide. This image was captured shortly after sunrise and the stillness of the lake and reflections were perfect for the shot. Rocky Mountain NP is a true national wonder and a fantastic place to get up close and personal with the magnificent Rocky Mountains of Colorado. All content & images © Stephen Vecchiotti. • A popular destination in the Indian Peaks Wilderness, this lake is nestled against the Continental Divide and is formed by the runoff from Isabelle Glacier.

  • Fractalius

  • Recently discovered, the planet commonly referred to as Fast Lane has a collection of huge continents that all orbit the planet’s core inside the atmosphere; some of the more porous rock orbits higher and even more rapidly than the more dense strata, but all move the same direction constantly and at a very high rate of speed. This one is more than 2 kilometers above the water, traveling at over 700 kilometers per hour, which makes it very risky to try to study in detail, and no one has successfully landed on any of them to see if any residents come out to say hello. Scientists disagree as to whether these are made structures or naturally shaped so strangely. This is LJ Maxx’s fractal that I converted to a terraine object in Vue: And here is her original, repeated X-4:
