‘Friends Series’ card by Karin Taylor One Spring Day is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

This was taken in an art museum in Chicago. It’s certainly a different style for me, but I do like the straight lines and angles of architecture and would love to shoot more of this kind of thing in the future. (In this one, all I did was invert the center panel.) As this is my first foray into this kind of thing, I’d appreciate any suggestions or constructive criticism! Thanks! :)
