Mixed mediums: Acrylic, rice paper, linen thread, pigment powder on canvas. / Size: 613×917 x 42 mm; Framed size: 970×665 x 50 mm Concept: Practically stitches bind, attach, and connect materials and/or surfaces together and is a metaphor for human bonding. The stitch becomes the ‘thread’, linking and connecting to the human psyche. Using a needle and thread by hand to stitch is a slow, methodical and sometimes painful process, of pushing and pulling through materials. The process reveals the two sides (dual nature) and the in-between to this affair. / / Abstractly worked, the stitch is used metaphorically for relaying energies and relationship formations. / Spirit Matter Cosmos abstractly references and resonates concepts of duality, the conscious and unconscious, complexity and simplicity, the spirit and alchemy of ‘relationships’ (blood & gold symbolism), transitory formations (the faded) illusions to connections and perceived realities. Always within, is the ‘spirit’, the centre, a voice of wisdom that guides and directs us in and through and beyond the ‘matter’. From the Exhibition/s: Sense of Attachment & Elevating the Spirit Exhibition at Cairns Regional Gallery, Qld (& toured Townsville April 24- May 31, 2009) ABC ARTPOST slide shows here ................................................................................ / FEATURED IN ABSTRACT ART DIMENSIONS

1800+ views. These sweet frog cakes are an institution (or icon) here in Adelaide. Kids love them and so do adults. They are covered in sweet icing (choc, green or pink) and inside is a sponge cake and cream. Balfour’s make them here in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 20D camera in the studio with studio lighting.

12”x16” acrylic on canvas Wisdom doesn’t beg to be accepted. It is offered, and if rejected, it leaves. Why force treasures into the mouths of fools? Part of my “Proof of Faith” exhibit hosted by Art Whino in National Harbor, MD. See www.artwhino.com.
You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

Poem by Linaji Frivolity and Passion / fused evenly / Dancing queen in pink / frivolous to the end / Passion sings in pure wink / a steady flow of romance / lending each other hand in hand, / a way to fly to the story / that ends in a union fit for life / unseen and unheard of / but created none the less / You see… / the roots are deeper than you think INSPIRED BY DANCING QUEEN AHHH IF ONLY LIFE COULD SAY.. 1 The LORD is my shepherd; / I shall not want. / 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; / He leads me beside the still waters. / 3 He restores my soul; / He leads me in the paths of righteousness / For His name’s sake. / / 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, / I will fear no evil; / For You are with me; / Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. / / 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; / You anoint my head with oil; / My cup runs over. / 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me / All the days of my life; / And I will dwell in the house of the LORD / Forever. / ~Psalm 23 Stock Credits / freaky665.deviantart.com
