‘Fire Before the Storm’ is one of the ‘Deep Noise’ series of images based on light installations designed to accompany Sounds of the Melbourne Underground at Brunswick’s Noise Bar during 2006. / / / To create this images, the camera has become an electronic sketch-pad, documenting light’s interaction with sound, its movement to music an essential component of the process. The emergent compositions reflect journeys into a plethora of disparate visual environments … above and below the oceans, from the microscopic to the panoramic, through history’s bricks and mortar, and back again, to the frenetic point where light and sound merge in a cacophony of beats and bodies. / / / 50% of artist proceeds from sales of this work will be donated to the Medical Association for the Prevention of War. MAPW is an organisation of committed doctors and health workers actively work against war because they recognise that the human community is at a crossroads. / /

Rumouz * The checkered, black and white, or red and white, headdress / with its tussled, tubular black crown / has long been a symbol of Arab pride. / More recently, particularly in the West, it has come to represent / whatever fears and prejudices conjured by current world events. It seems like as long as Arabs have existed, the “kafiyah” was part of them. / Protecting head from harsh desert sun. / Warming neck against evening chill. / Shielding nose and mouth from sand storms. That is how I remember grandfather Abu Sami. / His generation, the last of the Al-Jundi’s to wear this traditional garb. / My father and uncles, his college-educated children, / opted for the Western suit. / It was their symbol of progress. My generation, did not want to lose the kafiyah. / Although we wore the uniform of pants, shirts and jackets in high school, / we used the kafiyah as a scarf. / Folding the expansive square into a triangle, and draping it across the shoulders. Or loosely rolling it and wrapping it around the neck. / It was the cool thing to do. / It was also our way of saying: We are Arabs, and we are proud of it. It was our attempt to hold on to an identity / in a world increasingly turbulent / and very much unkind / to our sense / of humanity. - *Rumouz is the word for “Symbols” in Arabic

You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox
View Large please.. Who Are We outside of Time Space Reality? / We are the vibrational essence that equals the culmination of all that has been lived both physically and nonphysically. We are an energy that is expanding consciously and constantly because of the willingness of physical experience and its contribution to the never-ending want or desire. We are the expanded version of who each of you are and we are the pure ESSENCE of that expanded version that is never finished and never done.. Blamo..Tone / opened my eyes to the pairing of this incredible / Eminem Song Lose Yourself / Also the other One I love is Sing for The Moment
Poem by Linaji Frivolity and Passion / fused evenly / Dancing queen in pink / frivolous to the end / Passion sings in pure wink / a steady flow of romance / lending each other hand in hand, / a way to fly to the story / that ends in a union fit for life / unseen and unheard of / but created none the less / You see… / the roots are deeper than you think INSPIRED BY DANCING QUEEN AHHH IF ONLY LIFE COULD SAY.. SCREW IT ..LETS DANCE!!

Pastel on canvas board, 1984 / This pastel drawing was submitted to the Cental Artist’s Comittee of the USSR in 1984 for their Poster Competition entitled “For Peace and Humanism and against the threat of Nuclear War”. I was awarded a Diploma (which I still cant read) for my efforts. The original was ‘lost’ somewhere in Moscow. / I gave the first print of a Limited Edition to President Bill Clinton after the fall of the Berlin wall as a gesture for the ideal of Peace, and so the image would be in Washington as well as Moscow.
