In my most recent series: ‘Face Navigation’ , I have used the fluidity of watercolour painting to express a personal perception of self and others. There is an awareness of the universal human condition through facial expression, and in some cases I create a progression of images, exploring the changing perception of a person by deconstructing facial recognition. As there is a shift over time in attitude or mood, there is a corresponding shift in visual interpretation. Sizes variable, average sizes 250×102 mm. Watercolour on rag paper. / / Web: www.littlemalopgallery.com.au For availability of original work please contact Robert Avitabile at: METROPOLIS GALLERY / 64 Ryrie Street / Geelong, Victoria, AUSTRALIA 3220 Telephone: +61 3 5221 6505 www.metropolisgallery.com.au

You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox
Model: Alanna Reynolds POEM CALLED BY SAME FERVENT BY TERILEE Tonight I am hungry / Last night I rested / Tomorrow I will heal / But for tonight / I am starving / Not for subtle gestures / Or a gentle touch / I want you to be famished too / Hunt me / Feed from my nectar / And I will swallow / Your hunger too / Come with me / On this obsessive journey / Fly with me into the night / Penetrate my consciousness / I will consume your spirit / Together we will take flight / Blast through the threshold / Explode / Into infinity / Because / Tonight I am hungry / I want you to be hungry too! YOUR WORK THRILLS ME ALMOST AS MUCH AS HAVING YOU IN MY LIFE.. I APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU ARE.. LIVING BREATHING WOMAN OF WOMEN. XOX

It’s Winter in Australia, which means the Wattle is beginning to bloom. In my area we’ll soon be surrounded by a sea of bouncing little balls of yellow…... Did you know : / - Wattle is Australia’s official floral emblem, having adorned our Coat Of Arms since 1912. / - there are around 950 different species of Wattle….. which is why I have no clue as to which one this is! / - On 1 September 1910 the Sydney Morning Herald stated: / “To many Australians the wattle stands for home, country, kindred, sunshine and love; every instinct that the heart most deeply enshrines.”........ nice :) [canon 1000D, canon scanner for texture, PS watercolour] WINNER – Wattle challenge – October 2009
I’ve had my nose buried in the art of Da Vinci over the past couple of days, re-familiarizing myself with his mastery. / As much as I love his paintings, it’s his sketchwork that intrigues me the most…... his sketch workups for his paintings have such humanity in them, his invention sketches showing us a tiny glimpse of his genius, & those anatomy sketches giving us some insight into his constant need for knowledge…. Sadly I haven’t drawn anything for almost 5 years, but today the great Master has inspired me to pick up a pen after all this time, & I have to say it feels great! This image began life 12 years ago as a single line drawing hastily sketched as a thought came into my head. I’ve often looked at it with stirrings of interest….. / So today, with visions of Da Vinci & ancient manuscripts in my head I am drawing again . I worked on this for ages a while back & just couldn’t get it right. So I put it away for a couple of months & re-visited it today…... & everything just fell into place….. / sometimes you just need to clear your head, & make a fresh start. A series of organic, earthy, original paintings meant to be displayed together, or hung in groups of 2 or 3 or alone. These paintings were created in the spirit to represent a feeling of earthy elements, organic compositions and natural, earthy colors. Paint layering process is used in these paintings to create many layers and depths of texture. This particular painting “Organic Elements” Series I has earthy yet vibrant colors of yellow, gold, brown, red, orange, and bronze.
This was a commissioned piece for Zaira.
