I think there is a point in every budding photographer’s life where one takes stock of one’s gear, thinks “holy christ!” and decides to share it with the world. I am at one of those points. Behold! Taken with the 450D and the 28-105 f3.5-4.5 USM II (obviously not present in the shot).

  • Ok, this is a terrible scan, but what can I say, war is hell right? (currently deployed to Baghdad) The first photo, is from Budapest from my road trip this year with / Kamila. This one is pretty special. I got this camera because my / favorite photographer of all time, Robert Capa, used this type of / camera to capture a lot of his pictures from WWII including the / landing at Omaha beach. Originally, Andre Freidman, he was born and / raised in Budapest before he ventured off to the Spanish Civil war to / start his carreer. So I was very happy to have photographed part of / Budapest with this camera, just a lot of historical significance, / which i really appreciate being a military history major. I am having a lot of trouble getting consistant photos out of this camera, if anyone has any tips on using these cameras let me know because I am just using tial and error now and I am losing what I think to be a lot of good photos.
