  • “Horses speak to the soul of Man in a language that requires no translation” / ~ Skye Ryan-Evans © ~ Featuring historic elements symbolizing the Spanish arrival in the Americas, the Carrack Pinto sailed to The New World by Christopher Columbus, old manuscripts referencing Queen Isabella of Spain, Hernando Cortez and the Warrior Horses brought by the Spaniards who first invaded and explored the Americas in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Alamo built in 1718 represents Texas and the Mexican Padres who bred the rare and pure-blood horses that descended directly from the earliest Spanish arrivals. “This amazing bloodline is also often referred to as American Barb, or sometimes SABAS, an acronym from the breeds that made up the line in Spain before hoof set to ground in the New World, representing: “Spanish, Arabian, Barb, Andalusian, Sorrai”“ Quoted from Texas-based / American Barb breeder. / Callie Heacock. 50% from all funds raised, benefit the caring Wiindcross Conservancy as they strive to protect America’s pure-blood Sorraia horses. • Statue of great explorer Juan Ponce de Leon in St. Augustine, Florida at the intersection of King Street and Menendez Avenue across from the Bridge of Lions. The statue is a life size statue of him. I think the carriage tour guide said he was 4’11” tall. Short stuff! And supposedly he wouldn’t allow anyone taller than him on his boat. At 5’ tall even I wouldn’t be allowed on his boat! lol. Juan Ponce de Leon was the Spanish conquistador who is attributed with the discovery of Florida. Although it’s said he landed in St. Augustine, some people now think it was a little further south around Melbourne (about 2-3 hours south if I remember correctly). He’s also associated with the Fountain of Youth myth as discovering the legendary fountain. St. Augustine, FL / Canon Rebel XT

Dave Danger talking to his best friend Wreck about the mythical Fountain Of Youth. From page #98 / You know Wreck all those old conquistadors and adventurers have been looking for this beautiful blue spring sitting in an oasis akin to the Garden of Eden thinking they could just jump in and turn back the clock. The real thing is a mosquito infested swamp of a place were the water smells like your worst nightmare and the spring is hot and at the bottom of an algae stinking pond surrounded by roaming black bears and crazy alligators.
