This building is beautiful but has such a sinister past, I tried to capture the eerie feel, not sure if I succeeded but I was pleased with the final image anyway!
Its not just the bad politicians or the bad choices they make, but any system that would foster the kinds of practices that the United States’ government does, needs to be completely overhauled.

Famous Congress Avenue is the main drag through Austin, Texas’ capital district. / This image was intentionally blurred as I took it out the window of a moving car with the hopes of capturing an interesting, abstract view of the area. if you are from Austin you should recognize this scene.
“Magdaline” sculpture by Chicago artist Dessa Kirk. This is located at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Congress Parkway just west of the “Loop” in Chicago.

Penned especially for this artwork, / “Nothing in the affairs of Men can overwhelm the spirit of a loyal citizen, when a Nation pledged to “Right” stands behind him” ~ Skye Ryan-Evans (copyright 2008) is featured in this version of the “Flag of my Homeland” poster. The patriotic design features a huge Bald Eagle flying before the US flag and the first page of the US Constitution or Bill of Rights. The colours have been carefully selected to complement the parchment colour-scheme for an authentic feel. Designed to rouse that patriotic spark that rises within each of us, “Flag of my Homeland” speaks to anyone who loves their country. (Digital photography, poetry and artwork by Skye Ryan-Evans plus an image of the US Constitution from public domain, serving as background.) 50% proceeds from all sales made, benefit Habitat for Humanity in the US. Thank you for caring. ~ Skye Check out these amazing Bald Eagles battling it out for ownership of being in pole position. This is our Eagle Wars video filmed and created for your enjoyment*

Maybe “dumb” and “dumber” will fall in line if President O says something they’re more familar with….. such as…... It’s MY way OR the highway! or… If you aren’t with us, you’re against us! Come on republicans… if you really cared about how our economy has been going for ALL Americans, why did you let the “dumbest” spend so foolishly for 8 years? Sorry boys – the republican way isn’t the “right” way for everyone… if the majority of Americans thought that, we’d have a totally different president, today. Get with the program and spit out those sour grapes…

This is one of the many qulits hand made by quilters across the United States of America. “Quils of Valor” goat was to give a quilt to any injured serviceman in the course of his duty. This goas has not spread to giving a quilt to any U.S. serviceman who are returning from war.. My husband Bob was presented with his very own gorgeous red, whilte and blue quilt for his 3 tours in View Nam. I have never seen him so emotionally touched in the 30 some years we have been together. It actually brought tears to his eyes and that is not at all common for Bob. There is a “Quilt of Valor” quilt hanging in the United States Pentagon and the ladies have received a Congressional Award for their humanitarian efforts for our service men. The following posts are all from the Quilts of Valor ladies of Valley Springs California. God Bless them All! All proceeds wiil be sent directly to them
