I was playing around with an IR picture of a tree. It was ok, but uninspiring. So I did a simple colour substitution and got what I call a tree on fire. Still ok, but not outstanding enough. Then I used a radial blur. My eyes got torn off. It seems to go in and out and my eyes with it. Maybe it’s just me ….. It needs to be reasonably sized so not sure how well it will go on here. Maybe try the ‘large’ version. I’ll be interested in your opinions. It is displaying landscape for some reason ….. not sure why. Please turn monitors to the left ….. (no don’t do it really!) I rotated it to the wrong way then uploaded it so now it appears ok. i’m confused but happy :)
I just walked outside to put the rubbish in the bin and turned around to see this next door!! So funny, so as usual photographed it and here it is. Now this may detract from the humour I placed upon this shot, but on further investigation I found 2 nesting birds keeping dry. My neighbours are acting as mum’s to these baby birds. awhhh.

Oil on A4 paper. Nov 2008. Guess we all feel like this from time to time :-D / Pushed into a small space, unstable legs and very blank mind but proud of it (hence the flag). Found it difficult to take a shot of this painting, colours change in different light conditions, hope this shot look okay..

A late night experimental digital artwork. It’s always a toss up between Art or Sleep for me….guess which one wins. I used my own original ‘background’ which was acrylic with a pattern scratched back into it, can’t remember the word for this (sgraffito, I think) I then played with layers in Arcsoft Photostudio, changing the colours of circle shaped areas, with the lighter pattern (which was scratched into the original artwork) still showing through, and also used the ‘bubble’ feature to give them a more 3D appearance. Lots of moving, resizing and hue changes for each layer so they were all different, then merged them all. FEATURED in ‘Lifeline’ September 2009 / FEATURED in ‘Creative Spirits of Qld’ September 2009
