Through lifes daily struggles we are faced with many obstacles to overcome. We can figure out how to over come them on just give up and crawl in a shell. The stream flows on over the top or around its hindrances. It finds the way around any obstacle in its path.We need to be the stream an not give up,but overcome the many trials that we face….......image © Gary L. A mass of sheep stampeded towards me… What else could I do other than take the picture? Ironically the sea of sheep parted and continued their stampede down the hill to the food.
Taken In Bellingham WA. I WILL be going back there again!!!

I received a comment that the numbers weren’t ‘compelling’ enough to fit the text (one in a MILLION), so to speak. So I added the numbers and used varying sizes to create a greater illusion of numbers. Would help if you could compare and tell me which one’s better! Image taken from my award winning Sculpture “Non Conformer” won first place in miniature at the 5th largest fair in the USA . The original was done in clay then painted with Acrylic with an oil glaze then lacquered . / Some people call it my only self portrait ;-)
This piece started with a photograph of an old window with paint all over it. The paint seemed to form this image that I outlined in black. There goes my vivid imagination!

This collage centers on societal pressures and tendency’s to follow trends and “copycat” other individuals. By using such an icon, it demonstrates that making a huge stamp on society will be around for many years, and long after some are gone, the factor of imitation continues to linger.
every tool in its place? everything accounted for? the order of the day, all is accounted for…the status quo building a better future every turn of the screw…turn…turn..turn…”to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up”...turn…turn…turning of the screws….its 1984…by the numbers.
One of my personal favorites :D

Eight chocolate Lab pups like to pile on one another, despite a lot more room on the pillow. They’re now six-weeks old. We’re lucky to have friends who want weekly or bi-weekly photos of them for conformation decisions. Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 70-300mm, 82mm, at f/5 and 1/60 sec, -3ev, IS0 200, speed light SB800. Monopod. Converted from RAW (14 bit) to jpeg using Capture NX 2. Unedited. And rotating on their chubby little legs around the food bowl /
Mixed techniques (drawing, digital painting, photography), March 2005.
There’s one in every herd. Conformity blows. Printed version / Details /
