After a long hike down from the palace… and maneuvering along side the ornamented Indian elephants steadily climbing the along the steep ramparts, I was surprised to find Mr. Balbir already waiting for me inside the cafe. His burgundy turban welcomed me from the street and he’d already placed an order for a nice masala dal and chai for the two of us. The heat was now really taking it’s toll and all I wanted was to swim in the cool waters sweating from these glorious tin pitchers.” Rajasthan, India

This abstract is a like a condensation of a dream, the many dimensions of me and the things I perceive, feel, hear and touch. It combines the whimsical child with vibrant color and energy with the mature artist represented in the background as a woman in a peach dress playing the piano as I often do. There is a deep maroon velvet curtain that surrounds the opening to my studio as many forms of the music I play come to life in front of the curtain. There are so many faces with different expressions, like the notes, some dissonant and others harmonious. The central character that can be seen as one unit or two heads is a good example of the emotional range of the music. A man with an angry face is attached to the curtain looking very serious, a counterpoint to the carefree and magical characters that emerge as the woman plays on. Viewing this in the larger format will allow you to see a myriaid of imagery.

I never realized how symmetrical condensation was… hmm…. This was the result of boredom one night… and I rather like it now. Shot in tungsten for the blue tone and back lit by my computer. I think I also used my flash for this one too… Enjoy!

This is one of my personal faves. It was taken about 20 minutes after the Blue Wet Zebra. / The clouds were dark, the sky was colourful. / As i was fiddling with the cam, the sun came up like this! And the window was still dripping in a cool way. / I like this, coz it got my favourite colours in it!! As is! / 928 views / A bit abstract isnt it. Best viewed LARGE! Condensation inside of a water bottle…. I have too much fun with those things, haha. The background was some metallic wrapping paper that I use a lot. I used my sigma 105 mm macro lens and extension tubes. Enjoy!

There’s something very soothing and calming about these water drop/condensation shots for me. Maybe it’s the perfect symmetry of the drops or the way they look like falling rain that’s frozen in time… either way they just make my stressfulness melt away. Anyway, this is condensation on a water bottle… I shot this using my macro lens and extension tubes as well as my flash. I don’t think I had a background on this one.. just the white screen of my computer. Enjoy!
