  • This piece of art a combination of a collage and a woodblock print. This is a mono print, printed on Cartridge, where I “sponged” the background colour and used strips of bright blue coloured paper and bits of newspaper for the details in the waves. / Created 2008 © Gudrun Eckleben, www.geeart.com • Featured in Designers United

  • It’s been so long since I posted on the Bubble, I could be in a meeting introducing myself: “Hi, I’m Andy Mueller and I have not been on the Bubble in 6 days”. The other folks in the room clap their hands in amazement ….6 days? Wow …... So, let me dive right back in with yet another Duck image, dedicated to Mr. Bermingham! Yes indeed, I’m back my friend …... Some may think that these are Geese, but I truly believe them to be Farm Ducks or Pekin Ducks. My art with 1000+ views

  • These are my two dogs Julie and Harley. We adopted both of them from a shelter going on 2 yrs ago. / Julie is a Black Lab/ Flat Coated Retriever mix / Harley is a Golden Retriever/ Austrian Shepard mix (maybe a little Chow also)

  • Here are a couple of friends of mine. :)

  • Oil on canvas, 16×20 / Original sold / This was my first piece to sell in an art gallery, as well as my first attempt at the Impressionist style. It was inspired by John Singer Sargent’s painting called “Oyster Gatherers of Cancale” from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. This piece garnered another commissioned piece: “Girl Talk” which can also be seen here on RB, and started the whole series of my girl(s)-on-the-beach paintings.

  • When I saw this prayer, written by an unknown author, at the Carmelite monastery where I do volunteer work, I knew I had to incorporate it into an image and offer its consoling words to those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s as well as to family, friends, and medical personnel who care for those afflicted with this disease. I chose an image of a cloud-filled sky as the sun was setting because those with Alzheimer’s are largely in the sunset of their lives and have to contend with many issues that cloud their lives. Prayer for an Alzheimer’s Sufferer Please grant my visitors tolerance for my confusion, / Forgiveness for my irrationality, / and the strength to walk with me / Into the mist of memory my world has become. Please let them take my hand and stay awhile / Even though I seem unaware of their presence. / Help them to know how their strength and loving care / Will drift slowly into the days to come / Just when I need it most. Let them know when I don’t recognize them / that I will . . . I will. / Keep their hearts free from sorrow for me / For my sorrow when it comes only lasts a moment – / then it’s gone. And finally please let them know / how very much their visits mean, / How, even through this relentless mystery, / I can still feel the love. Amen

  • Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow. Swedish Proverb

  • Three hours in Verulamium Park suddenly got worth it in the space of 1/750sec.

  • Meet Pebbles a new edition to the family. The cat (Felis catus), also known as the domestic cat or house cat to distinguish it from other felines and felids, is a small predatory carnivorous species of crepuscular mammal that is valued by humans for its companionship and its ability to hunt vermin, snakes, scorpions, and other unwanted household pests. It has been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years. A skilled predator, the cat is known to hunt over 1,000 species for food. It can be trained to obey simple commands. Individual cats have also been known to learn on their own to manipulate simple mechanisms, such as doorknobs and toilet handles.Cats use a variety of vocalizations and types of body language for communication, including meowing, purring, “trilling”, hissing, growling, squeaking, chirping, clicking, and grunting.Cats may be the most popular pet in the world, with over 600 million in homes all over the world. They are also bred and shown as registered pedigree pets. This hobby is known as “cat fancy”.

  • THE PROMISE / Best viewed large. / / The Frenchman Joseph Permet-Ducher is credited with the first discovery of yellow roses around the 18th century. After approximately 20 years of attempting to breed a hearty yellow rose and “THE PROMISE” to create one, Joseph stumbled upon a mutant yellow rose in a field. With this specimen, he was able to duplicate its structure and create the first yellow roses! / / A beautiful interpretation of yellow roses is the notion of renewal; yellow roses are a perfect way to apologize and to make amends. A bouquet of yellow roses reflects calm contentment, undying love, and comfort. Yellow roses tell a spouse or partner that you value them everyday and that you see them as the fulfillment of your needs. This flower and color are aptly associated with wedding anniversaries, especially for the fifteenth year of marriage. / / Nothing conveys real love, companionship, renewal, reconciliation, and friendship quite like yellow roses. These flowers stand alone in their meanings and serve a beautiful purpose for communicating messages of hope and “THE PROMISE” of love with the utmost sincerity. / BETTE MIDLER:THE ROSE Some say love, it is a river / that drowns the tender reed. / Some say love, it is a razor / that leaves your soul to bleed. / Some say love, it is a hunger, / an endless aching need. / I say love, it is a flower, / and you it’s only seed. It’s the heart afraid of breaking / that never learns to dance. / It’s the dream afraid of waking / that never takes the chance. / It’s the one who won’t be taken, / who cannot seem to give, / and the soul afraid of dyin’ / that never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely / and the road has been to long, / and you think that love is only / for the lucky and the strong, / just remember in the winter / far beneath the winter snows / lies the seed that with the sun’s love / in the spring becomes the rose. Photo taken with my Canon EOS 40D camera.

  • for some inexplicable reason, this photo which was one of the first I uploaded to RB, disappeared from my folio, so am uploading it again. / It was shot a very long time ago on 35mm film, when I was a polo groom, working on a property in Young, NSW. It was the most magic place for sunrises and sets and for very long gallops!! / Living and working in the country, rising with the sun and working with and around the cycles of nature, being in touch with the elements and creatures of the land is something I never want to forget or be too far away from.

  • Huntsville, Ontario / August 2009 Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens “Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. “ / ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery Featured in the Live, Love, Dream group August 2009

  • We walked past these two gentlemen as they were passing in the opposite direction, I heard them say something along the lines of “they don’t know what’s happened”, I made nothing of it. My friends and I were laughing amongst ourselves about something or other, it was only when we reached the top of next cliff that we saw the helicopter ambulance and climbers abseiling down the cliff.. I looked back and snapped this shot as they passed over the hill behind us. Photo was taken from Beachy Head looking back towards Birling Gap, Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK.
