Stand & Deliver Moll Cutpurse is the only highway women I’ve found any reference to although I’m sure there were more…probably too smart to get caught;) Moll Cutpurse’s real name was Mary Firth, a bit of a tomboy, always ready for a rumble and happiest in the company of men. / Sources on her history are a little conflicting but she was a bit of a roguette and after pulling a big job on a Lord, brided her way of goal and the business finding it safer to work as a fence…..a fascinating character from the early 1600’s. Von kindly posted this wonderfully fitting poem / The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees, / The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas, / The road was a ribbon of moonlight, over the purple moor, / And the highwayman came riding- / Riding-riding- Available as a framed print, matted print, poster and card. Model – Meluxine The height of winter, she’s laying on wet frozen ground, in a vintage dress and my ugg boots, full to the brim with Hungry Jacks, watching me dance like a crazy person with a head cold around her when suddenly the sun breaks through right at the perfect moment, and she manages to pull of that look like it’s as easy as microwave popcorn. / This girl rocks. Christmas night at the Show in Coffs Harbour…dead! / But the colours were beautiful and I wanted to test out my new camera I had got for Chrissy. / I added some texture and colour in Photoshop.

This door detail was photographed in Avanos, a small town in the Cappadocia region of central Turkey. The bright colors and old wood of houses and doors in these small towns are often beautiful and always intriguing. The splintered wood, tooled brass lock and handle, and encroaching shadow give this piece a sense of mystery for me.
