If we sustain her well, we can keep her doors open to reveal her beauty, and invite the neighboring sunlight to accompany us. Key modeled in FormZ. A dawn shot from a series I shot from the East Beach in Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland. The Bin of Cullen, which is further down the East coast, is the hill in the distance. Nikon D80 / Manual / 4s at f11.0 / ISO 100 / 18.0-70.0mm f/3.5-4.5 at 18mm / 0.9 ND soft Grad. / tripod / remote release
I was back up at the Bunkyou Civic Centre yesterday, this time with one of my students. The sunset was extraordinary. It was impossible to control the lens-flare as I was shooting straight into the sun for this shot. Five-shot bracketed HDR with very little done to the colour. This is pretty much, apart from a bit of a shift in the tonal contrast, what the scene looked like through the lens. Nikon D300 / Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED / 5-frame bracketed burst merged in Photomatix 2.5.4
Sunset over Vasse Estuary, Busselton Western Australia. And no, this is not the Sun reflection in the water, just a lamp. Captured with Nikon D300 and 18 – 200 Nikkor VR lens. Exposure 6.0 sec at f / 4.2, ISO 200. Featured in Lakes and Inland Waterways group 14/04/2009
The pebbles were set up in a line by myself, and i waited for the incoming tide to wash over them. The sun had already set and the sky had that blue glow to it. / Taken at westward Ho beach in North Devon (UK) Minolta dynax 7D / ISO 100 / f/16 / 8 sec exposure / 17mm focal length Featured in / Sea / Dawn and Dusk Light / Your Magic Place / Shifting Sands / Colours of Water
