mixed media, oil colours, seahorses are real. :-)
theme given by a friend of mine fron DEVIANTART canvas on board, painted with oil colours. I uploaded a good image this time. / the seahorses are real. :-), where received as a gift, / the story about them: were already dead…..... a friend of mine took, dry and varnish them.
An original pastel painting. Original artwork size- 45cm x 67cm. 2007 It seems the larger the animal, the more docile and appealing they are. What would the world be without these magnificent creatures…...great and small! / These two are probably old enough to start training as a team in harness. / Sold at exhibition :) Has been featured in ‘Everything Draft Horse’, ‘Equine Art and Photography’, Traditional Equine Art’ and ‘All Pets Great and Small’ groups.
I did this picture for the pure pleasure of drawing what I think is the perfect arabian. / Colour pencil, white gouache and black ink on grey mount board. Can’t remember the size, think it was about 44cm x 66cm. 1998. Sold Has been featured in the ‘Equine Art and Photography’ groups.
Another Clydie. There were about a dozen of them in this paddock in Mansfield and I used a roll or two of film on them. From these photos I have composed many drawings and paintings. / Water colour pencils on mount board. Size approx. 25cm x 34cm. 2003 Sold. Has been featured in the ‘Equine Art and Photography’ and ‘Creative Cards’ groups.
These are the hills behind my place. Typical for this area. I just added the horses, although dairy cows is what you see around here. / Colour pencil on mount board. Size approx – A4 2003 Sold Has been featured in ‘Colour Pencil Art’ and ‘Pencil Drawing’ groups.
ORIGINAL $300 plus postage and handling This mandala was created after a big breathwork meditation in which I felt the spirits of my grandmothers and greatgrandmothers all the way back to prehistory reach out to me. It was a time of crisis for me and to feel the essence of my maternal history with me, I was able to pass through and come out the other side relatively whole. The mandala symbolizes the presence of my foremothers all the way back to prehistory. The horses symbolize power and freedom. The all seeing eye is open to the wisdom of the past and the challenges and opportunities of the future. The colours are the colours of the earth, the sky, the wind and the rain. It is a powerful meditation tool linking my present with my past. Enjoy:) From the original acrylic on canvas, 20 inch x 20 inch All images are fully copyrighted, all rights reserved. Bright Blessings / Marg
Find me a cheekier beef horse than this, and I’ll gladly give you my favourite teapot. Detail, colour, taste and pure cheek – this cheeky cow’s got the lot. To quote what she said to me just after I took the picture: “Moo”. And you can’t argue with that. Proud of your kitchen? Imagine this beauty on your wall. As a picture, I mean. Not the actual cow. Look at my lovely shop: http://baddoggy.redbubble.com/ Taken on the cliffs above Robin Hood’s Bay, near Whitby, North Yorkshire. I could’ve cropped it conventionally, but I couldn’t bring myself to chop out that sky.
Oils on stretched canvas 1.02mx1.02m 2004 / Collection of the artist. This painting represents my interpretation of the Celtic Horse Goddess, Epona – a blending of the feminine within what appears to be a masculine horse, the woman’s silhouette in black combined with the white of the horse, yin & yang. Her hand & hair flow into the mane like tree roots, she is part of the earth, yet also the air – mythical, magical yet also a part of Mother Nature. Look on top of the mountain – for the snowline is in the shape of a horse lying on its side. My inspiration for this painting was my love of coloured horses, actually one of my own blue-eyed Paints. No two Paint Horses are alike, each has it’s own unique colour & pattern. Often where the hair colours meet the markings will have an outline which is known as a ‘watermark’. This one is grey – (black blended into white). In Paint Horse terms the above horse would be called a ‘splash white overo.’ This painting won a Highly Commended & two People’s Choice awards. / Featured in SIMPLY HORSES GROUP – December 2008 / Featured in THE DIVINE FEMININE GROUP – May 2009 / Top Ten in Elemental Goddess Challenge THE DIVINE FEMINE GROUP – May 2009 / Featured in ALL THOSE COLOURFUL PAINTS & PINTOS – June 2009 / Featured in OIL PAINTING GROUP – August 2009 / Top Ten in Most Creative Painted Ladies Challenge – PAINTED LADIES GROUP – September 2009

Pastel on black Canson paper 75cmx54cm 1999 / Collection of the artist This painting won several awards at shows & was also featured in a special exhibition at the Manning Regional Gallery ‘TRAPPINGS OF THE HORSE” (July 1999) / celebrating the finest craftwork & art associated with the Horse Industry in NSW. I had received an invitation from the / gallery to be part of the exhibition & I submitted two paintings- / this one & “Blazing Saddles.” The Tobiano Paint Horse can be any colour with white & refers to the location of the white markings. Head markings will usually be marked like a solid-coloured horse, either solid or having a blaze, stripe, race or star & snip. All four legs will be white, usually below the hocks & knees. Body markings are usually regular & distinct, often being oval or round patterns that extend down over the neck & chest giving the appearance of a shield. The Tobiano Paint will usually have the dark colour in one or both flanks & maybe either predominantly dark or white.
