The original working title was “How to Torture Your Husband”....... or, to be more accurate, my husband! He LOVES liquorice allsorts, and watching me painting this was pure torture for him. He now has a massive craving for these delicious sweets. Painted from a wonderful reference image provided by Dianna Ponting with permission to paint. Watercolours on Fabriano Artistico extra white paper using artists quality paints.

A little drawing I did in between all my school work. It’s a linocut that I coloured in Photoshop. Linocuts give nice results (I love the bold lines), but they also result in some nasty cuts on my fingers haha. Plus they’re of course quite time consuming. Still enjoyed making it though. It’s about a little girl trying to feed a giraffe, but finding it very difficult due to obvious height differences. =P
