Photographic based digital montage 2007 (1 from series of 6 – redesigned from 2004/5 Japanese Series). Re-worked combining two from the series. I shot the tree, flowers & combined them in P/S with drawn elements & filtered the lot. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers. Generally I tire of my artwork yet still love this series to this day.

This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic

This is my first piece done in the ‘Prismacolour’ brand of colour pencil. All my other pencil pieces have been in Derwents. The subject is a small Rhodedendron plant at my studio, a delight to draw and the pencils a delight to use. Done in Prismacolor Premiere pencils on light grey (nearly white) mount board. Size – 30×53cm. 2008 Original for sale / Won ‘Highly Commended’ at the Frankston Art Show 2008

This is a macro that I took today of a flower in a pot plant which I was given. I just liked the vivid colour, the abstract quality and that this image is totally untouched and 100% natural! Ohh, and take the time to view it larger to see the tiny dew drops on the petal :o)
