by Juilee PryorA day or so ago I made a tee shirt based on a short story for a challenge in the flash fiction group and it is called define weird well this attempt at illustrating a bit of writing has inspired another writer to ask me to do one for them…. and here it is….....batter for the soul is the name of the very very short story by PJ Ryan that this tee shirt illustrates. a short and yummy meditation on the lure of cake. mmmmm yummy cake.

The name frog derives from Old English frogga, (compare Old Norse frauki, German Frosch, older Dutch spelling kikvorsch), cognate with Sanskrit plava (frog), probably deriving from Proto-Indo-European praw = “to jump”. Most frogs are characterized by long hind legs, a short body, webbed digits (fingers or toes), protruding eyes and the absence of a tail. Most frogs have a semi-aquatic lifestyle, but move easily on land by jumping or climbing. They typically lay their eggs in puddles, ponds or lakes, and their larvae, called tadpoles, have gills and develop in water. Adult frogs follow a carnivorous diet, mostly of arthropods, annelids and gastropods. Frogs are most noticeable by their call, which can be widely heard during the night or day, mainly in their mating season. The distribution of frogs ranges from tropic to subarctic regions, but most species are found in tropical rainforests. Consisting of more than 5,000 species described, they are among the most diverse groups of vertebrates. However, populations of certain frog species are declining significantly. A distinction is often made between frogs and toads on the basis of their appearance, caused by the convergent adaptation among so-called toads to dry environments; however, this distinction has no taxonomic basis. The only family exclusively given the common name “toad” is Bufonidae, but many species from other families are also called “toads,” and the species within the toad genus Atelopus are referred to as “harlequin frogs”. Under that tee must be a… Nothing complex here, just a simple joke that just popped in my head after thinking why is the pointer hand pure white? and not flesh coloured? lol this is the result if the wearer was the owner of the hand too :P hence disturbingly pale and in desperate need of a tan!, which the hand highlight is illustrating hehe Now if this could be printed on the back of some shorts then that would be perfect for most people… If you would like some alternate text put in just ask and I’ll edit in no time, for example: “wear eye protection before removing!” / “very very very sunlight deprived” / “click to turn on” (placed on nipple? lol) / “contains nudity, click to enter if 18+” / “man I need a tan!” / “click to remove sunlight shield” / “your redbubble web address?” I could go on all day lol but for now that’s enough alternate text examples, if you think up one to put on a shirt let me know so I can edit, if you will purchase it afterwards that is :) P.S.
