Taken somewhere between the big ol’ roundabout near the hospital and Melbourne Central, spent some time out taking photos today with my father. Sorry for the pitiful lack of photos recently, exams have scared me into submission; but lo, the holidays are here! cheers xx / s-a

Hi Now that i’ve used a few rolls of film, where do I get them processed? ( Melbourne Australia)I know where i can get proffessional quality drum scans which are expensive. I can use this service for my best images, but where do I get resonable quality scans at a low cost. So far I have tried two places. The first place i put some negative film for process and scan and the scans were out of focus at the sides indicating they didn’t even attemp to keep the negative flat and only around 6 megapixel. The second place I tried, i put some slide film for process and scan. They said the files would be ~19megabyte size but when i got them they were only around 3 megabyte jpegs at around 6megapixel with washed out colour. The first place charged $20 for the roll and the second place charged $25 but misled me. I will go in tomorrow about the so called 19 megabyte files!! So my question is where can I get a reasonable size of 10 megapixel scans (for 24exposures) at around $20. Surely the technology has progressed this far in the last couple of years to alow this. Do I have to resort to finding a used Minolta dimage scanner? (which have the best dynamic range of any of the consumer grade models) Please help :)
