Corfe Castle railway station lies to the east of East Street, adjacent to the village centre. Originally the only intermediate station on the London and South Western Railway’s branch line from Wareham to Swanage, the station is now a stop on the Swanage Railway, a steam locomotive operated heritage railway. The railway links the tourist centres of Corfe Castle and Swanage with each other, and with a Park and Ride site at Norden station just to the north of Corfe Castle.

This adorable little Wallaby in Halls Gap was one thirsty little fellow on this hot day in January 2009. I looked down to see him drinking out of his water trough and saw the remarkable sun reflection and water ripple. I had my fingers crossed that the photo would turn out. On a weekend away with my mother in Diamond Beach NSW, i came upon a pond that was full of gorgeous water lillies. It was a mammoth effort to get this shot as the edge of the pond was very muddy and i sank about 2 feet as soon as i got close enough. I decided to do selective colouring with this shot as i wanted the focus to be entirely on this gorgeous lilly. Canon 450D SLR / ISO 200 / f/6.5 / exposure 250 sec
