Power boat cruising by “Big Red” lighthouse in the Holland Harbor. “Big Red” is the only lighthouse that has a name and is most photographed. It is a historical landmark and its friendly guiding light has brought many ships home safe.

This door was photographed in the small Anatolian town of Avanos, in the Cappadocia region of central Turkey. I was attracted by the window arrangement at this house, and also the total lack of a front step. There is nothing cookie-cutter about Turkish towns, which makes for some intriguing photographs.

The vessel (symbol for being) in light and time, absorbs, reflects, refracts and transmits information to and from the surfaces around. “Reality is a game of illusion, delusion, perception and deception … The trickster (an archetype, a boundary dweller) exists to question, to cause us to question and not accept things blindly.” (Quote by Ellie Crystal). In the light of spirit I reflect that the boundaries that separate us are not as real as they appear, that our personal distinctions are illusory and that we are connected with all in the sea of universal consciousness, a fusion, a melting point. / ................................. / ................................
