This European gentleman was captured outside a Vietnamese shop in Springvale, Victoria. There was a certain surreal quality to the accordion music being played in front of the dead pigs and ducks. Some pumped-up saturation and a highpass augmented the image.
This is a shot of my sons guitar. I felt i had ignored it for too long and on a rainy afternoon i managed to get this image.

Add some ‘colour vomit’ and sprinkle with some obscure and abstract ideas to produce your own out of this world experience… sure you could pop some acid but that’ll probably kill you… stick with the colour vomit crew and you’ll be safe to fly with us.
New on the scene, “Bluejuice” from Sydney sure have the kids hopping! This band, who released a debut album about a year ago with it’s single reaching No.11 on Triple J’s Hottest 100, was something to stick around for. My expectations grew higher while I watched the security staff struggling to hold off the under agers who were trying every trick in the book to get in to see Bluejuice’s live performance at this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival. Those kids were onto something, these guys (with two main vocalists!) are not to be missed if your thing is punk/rock/hip hop and outrageous antics – not for the faint hearted! Godskitchen 2008. / Melbourne, Australia. Someone in the crowd had decided to bring along a set of headphones to the event. / I watched these headphones for ages in front of all the lights and lasers until I realised I should take a photo. It was a quick 3 second point and shoot photo, but I think it turned out alright. / / /

Lisu youths, decked in stunning costumes and decorated with silver jewelry, dance for 3 days and nights during their taditional New Year ceremony. They circle a small tree with offerings of pork and rice cakes to the sky spirits, to the gentle sound of a three stringed instrument. Plenty of home-distilled corn liquor lubricates the dancers. This village, deep in the hills of northern Thailand, was 5 hours walk from the nearest dirt road when this photo was taken in 1983. Today, Lisu traditions are strong and still vibrant and the New Year festival is as lively as ever.
A macro image of a CD and water drops.. I used a small paint brush to apply the droplets… Enhanced the lighting in CS4 and lightroom and finally applied a little cropping..
