Morning rainbow, Jokulsarlon, Iceland Iceland / Belgium / Italy / France / Hungary / Spain / Sri Lanka / USA / London / Portraits / Other Jokulsarlon is a glacial lake that meets the sea in Iceland. One of the most beautiful places i have been on our little planet Earth. The tragedy is that this beautiful photo would not be possible without global warming. When in a cafe at a petrol station i saw a postcard of Jokulsarlon. One single large iceberg floating in the centre. As you can see now the lake is full. Note: The size if this work was increased using Photoshop CS2. / Best size being around the 50cm wide.

Originally a photo from my recent trip overseas but this has gone further then my usual photography and is more of an artwork. I really like what I’ve achieved and its thanks to the Redbubble community encouraging me to try new styles and be adventurous. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

This is a collaboration between my daughter, Brianna (13), and myself. :) She’s a fantastic photographer for her age..she amazes me much of the time. She showed me this photo that she took, and I begged her to let me work on it. :) (yes…I had to beg! Teenagers..ya know?) These autumn colours and reflections were taken at Oakbank, Adelaide Hills, South Australia, Australia, in autumn (obviously). I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D on a tripod. This is an HDR shot. I used 3 shots merged together with Photomatix Pro. This was details enhanced.

I’m preparing a new body of work for exhibiton later in the year and am working out ways to present these images. Yesterday I posted a single image muted landscpe #2 in order to invite some responses to the way I preparing the indivdual images with a very muted colouring and now today I’m posting a pair of images in a way that will replicate the way I want to present them. I’m thinking that I would do either three or four pairs of linked images individually framed but hung together in a series of pairs so that they will sort of look like this one….... Each photograph will be printed at around 20×24 inches and then with the matting and framing I estimate each pair will need about 2 metres of wall space for hanging. Let me know what you all think while I’m open to suggestions with this body of work and I’ll listen to all suggestions….... ta muchly in advance…...

Port Noarlunga Jetty. / South Australia. A combination of all my favourite techniques: / Wide angle, long exospure, HDR and night photography. Canon 50D. / 10-20mm (at 10mm) HDR – 3 Bracketed Exposures (up to 30 seconds) blended manually in CS3. The longest exposure (2 stops overexposed) brought out the unusual streaks from the jetty lights. Click for larger preview. See also: /
