Took this a couple of weeks ago of my little girl at the beach and realised it’s potential this morning when I started to play with the colour, light and layers so of course I though that I would share!

I really loved the rock face and it’s intense colour and texture so I had to share! This was taken near the Mornington Pier during a sunset.

This painting is a memory of a trip my husband and I took earlier this year to the beautiful island. This shot was taken at Newport Wharf which is located on the shores of Pittwater north of Sydney. Easily accessable by car or public transport. Its the kind of place where you can wind down at the end of the day with a cold beer or a glass of Australian Chardonnay and watch the sun set in the west.. This is my neighbourhood about 5 minutes from my home, “Just a Little Touch of Paradise.” we get some great sunsets ! / So if youre visiting Sydney areas like this are within 40 klms of the city Nikon D70 3 bracketted images , hand held, NO FILTERS NO COLOUR MANIPULATION just pure HDR / /

Barbed wire fence partially submerged in a lake. Taken shortly after ‘Lakeside’ also in my folio. / Canon 5D mkII 24-70 f2.8L. / I must admit I’m surprised how popular this one is – it’s been faved over 60 times!

Took the boys to the park this avo and stopped by the Lake on the way home. I set up the camera with my ND400 filter to get some long exposures – that way I could keep an eye on the boys whilst the camera did it’s thing.

After a rare day of good weather, the jetty was busy with plenty of people. / The long exposure has helped minimise the human distraction and create the smooth water effect. Glenmore Reservoir, Calgary, Alberta, Canada This was one my very first photo’s I took. There were many things I had not yet picked up. I had the iso on auto, which I think for this photo was about 400 – 800. This led to much of the noise in the sky. I had the aperture set at f22, which at the time I thought was best to bring more of the photo in focus but I later found it can soften the overall image. I also did not own a tripod so I had to balance the camera on some rocks which made composing the scene much harder then normal and led to a small amount of camera shake. In the end though this became the first photo I had taken that I was truly proud of and solidified my passion for photography.
