My family and friends were enjoying a few days of skiing and I ventured out in the dark to see what I could locate to photograph. As the sky began to lighten, dead trees emerged from the mist and made the wait in sub zero temperature worthwhile. Image straight from camera with no manipulation.

Mersea Island, the most Easterly populated island in the UK, may not be renowned as a photogenic location, but, standing here at East Mersea, with the gently flowing seawater lapping against the tops of the wellies, with the line of posts so obligingly composed, and with the glorious colours spreading across the late afternoon sky, it was possible for a moment or two to believe that this was the most beautiful place on Earth. 1015 views as of Dec 8, 2009 / / I was down at Okanagan beach this afternoon taking some photographs when I noticed the reflection of some tree tops with the light shining through them in this puddle. Thought it looked almost like the leaves in the puddle were falling onto the trees…..seemed kind of magical to me :)
