Draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, body, dress, added fringe to face, made the features more angular, blew up lips, created cheekbones, reworked branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated & added a sepia tone. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers.

Canon 10D / 17-40mmL Antelope Canyon is the most-visited and most-photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon formed over the course of millions of years by erosion of the Navajo Sandstone, primarily due to flash flooding and secondarily due to wind erosion. Rainwater (especially during monsoon season) runs into the wash that Antelope Canyon is part of, picking up speed and sand as it rushes through the narrow passageways. Over time the passageways are eroded away, making the corridors wider and smoothing hard edges in such a way as to form characteristic ‘flowing’ shapes in the rock. Lower Antelope Canyon, called Hasdeztwazi, or “spiral rock arches” by the Navajo, is located a few kilometers away from the upper Antelope Canyon and is a more difficult hike. This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /
This was taken today and it’s what I call my simple pleasures… Either lying on the beach on a day like today watching the sail boats go by or lying on that sailing boat watching a beautiful day pass by….

My family and friends were enjoying a few days of skiing and I ventured out in the dark to see what I could locate to photograph. As the sky began to lighten, dead trees emerged from the mist and made the wait in sub zero temperature worthwhile. Image straight from camera with no manipulation.

Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. Mersea Island, the most Easterly populated island in the UK, may not be renowned as a photogenic location, but, standing here at East Mersea, with the gently flowing seawater lapping against the tops of the wellies, with the line of posts so obligingly composed, and with the glorious colours spreading across the late afternoon sky, it was possible for a moment or two to believe that this was the most beautiful place on Earth. Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens. Exposure of 30 seconds at f/13.

Mixed Media – Acrylic, Collage and finished with Oils. Lots of glazing and experimenting with colour. “Collage is mostly in the hair. The work is on canvas, the collage is jewerelly from a fashion magazine, material for the butterfly and scrapebook paper for the big flower. The back ground is glazed over to give a twilight effect. I have repainted the face. She was too pale before, now she is warmer…...I must have done her face a hundred times! Grrrrrrrrrr. BillyLee, Belinda Nye, Billy
