So I met this woman down at the Ohio River. / (eccentric, to say the least!) She was drunk. / (I was working on it) But it was her shoes! / They were a class act all their own. She asked- / I obliged. They make me think of a circus.. / / / / >Featured Home Page<

Actually, who are you not to be? / You are a child of God. / Your playing small does not serve the world. / There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. / We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. / It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. / And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. / As we are liberated from our own fear, / our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marrianne Williamson ~ excerpts from Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles. Early morning three shot panorama – Noora Basin, between Berri and Renmark in the Riverland of South Australia. This backwater is an evaporation basin off of the River Murray. The main river itself looks nothing like this and still holds plenty of water to make a visit to the region well worth while. Nothing better – 6.30 am, first hint of sun, great clouds, colours and magnificent dead redgum trees standing silent. Who could want for more!!!!!!!! Canon 400D – 18 -55 lens, CIR polarising filter coupled with ND4. Tripod mounted three shot pano stitched in photoshop CS3.

Notre Dame, Paris, captial city of France. The last in my Notre Dame series. I created six versions of this shot, trying different textures, colours and layers, but this was the first one that moved toward a theme or emotion that I wanted. It feels quite lonely and stripped of hope to me, but I’m sure it will have varied meaning to the individual. 8 layers of texture from www.deviantart.com free use stock – Amurrr. Lightened each layer, adjusted hue and colour levels, blended each with 3 layers of the photo, one b&w, one colour and one desaturated. Flattened image and further colour tweaking and adjusting. Canon SX100IS Edited and layered 9pm MCN: C5T31-6FEVA-GM6TW
