  • Here’s a nice accident! It was to be a photo of my hubby but decided to make it all about me for once!! Ohh… And this is probably as close as we get to having a photo taken together these days!

  • An acrylic on Canvas of Jennifer, my Daughter Having worked on a few with some students in my School this year, I decided it was time to try a painting for myself. So, upon reflection this is the first painting that I have done. Thanks to Martin Kirkwood for hosting on Painters in Modern Times www.pimt.co.uk

  • A fanciful depiction of the psyche of a Replicant, which has the form of a human, yet the soul of blasphemous creation, a Golem, a Frankenstein, a tormented being, anxious and deranged, knowing its time is short and its end inevitable. The spider patterning exudes the replicant’s un-empathic nature, the thing that separates them from humans. If you haven’t, check out Philip K. Dick’s Novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. It is brilliant. See also:

  • A commission I did some time ago as a raffle prize. Wildon Impressive, ‘Imp’, for short, is a lovely Arabian pony stallion. • I have been inspired by the Taylor Wessing portraits and have decided to put up a colour image.

  • I found this photo of this old lady sitting under a tree, staring in the distance. It really made me think about what see was thinking at that moment. To me it looks like she is thinking about someone, maybe her husband that has died or her children that see has not seen for a long time. I was just attracted by this photo, so I decided to paint it. I am very pleased with it and consider it to be my best painting ever. I really like this color palet with nice natural colors in it, also the old painting style is something I really feel comfortable with. Hope you all like it ;-) Odwin www.studioodwin.com

  • The Male Golden Pheasant, a beautiful colourful bird, and native to forests in mountainous areas of Western China. they feed on grains, leaves and invertebrates. Canon 50D, 800mm (400mm + 2x Tamron). Available Large! :)

  • I have taken it for granted, as axiomatic, that I am "something", even something very valuable, something I have never questioned. At the same time I am unable to explain to another what this something is. Is the reason I do not know because, in fact, this "something" does not exist but is merely assumed to exist? the real question is not ‘who’ am I, but ‘what’ am I? (Gurdjieff)

  • Coloured Pencil and Pen drawing of a handsome Basset. This is a rework of an original that had been done a few years ago but the waistcoat and bow tie was red, which i felt clashed with the reddish tones of the dog, hence the change to blue. Coloured Pencils, size 10×8 Inches.

  • This is an homage to Madvlad, one of the most original artists on Redbubble. DO NOT CLICK HERE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN – DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK I got out of my comfort zone to do a portrait for a change. This is a labour of love, inasmuch as it is a tribute to my good friend Walt Evans, one of the most fascinating artists on Redbubble. I’ve known Walt since before we both joined Redbubble. I used a selection of photos Walt gave me of himself and his art. I have his permission to do this portrait too, so no copyright has been breached. The background is based on some of Walt’s designs with a lot of my own ideas thrown in for good measure. I used coloured pencils and fineliner pens. Here is a glimpse into the wonderful world of Madvlad: And here is a link to his portfolio. FEATURED BY FIRST THINGS GROUP – 2nd August 2009. FEATURED BY JOURNAL JUNKIES – 10th December 2009 /

  • Following how popular my BIBA image of Lozie in natural light was…I have put up another in the natural light series…this is very 1970’s BIBA advertising…highly saturated colours with a grain effect that came from the transparences of that era. My grain comes from having to shoot at a high ISO with an old camera!

  • My daughter having a drink after playing in the sand at the beach… Top 10 place in the STRAW HATS challenge, December 2009 Top 10 place in the Kids in Hats challenge, October 2009 Featured in Hats and Hat Boxes, November 2009

  • Original artwork also includes The Changing Face of Now No.2. / Watercolour on rag paper. 45×180cm. 2008 I have used the fluidity of watercolour to express a personal perception of self and others and the changing nature of how we relate. In a time when technology brings many alternative means of communication, I am trying to bring awareness to the universal human condition that is facial expression. By creating a progression of images, I explore the changing perception of personalities as they shift over time, in attitude or mood.
