Sydney is not only blessed by a beautiful coastline providing us with countless beaches, but also some of these beaches have a “rock pool” at the headland. These rock pools provide a great place for the locals to take a dip in the ocean without the waves. This image was created at the Apollo Bay Docks early in 2008, went here for a holiday just as I was getting into Photography. I went down to the docks just as a storm was rolling in and it made for some interesting weather conditions! This pic was created from one raw file. I changed the exposures in Lightroom and then merged 3 images using Photomatix, increased the blue and green saturation levels in Lightroom and added a bit of contrast. This is the result! The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. SOLD 4 large limited edition prints 70×44 cm all private sales. One framed, One with matt and board, and two unframed. All signed. / Mixed media on paper. I have used a multitude of stuff on this. Acyrilic paint, Gold Leaf, Gesso, paper, lots of water, pieces from magazines just to name a few. Its been a while since I created this so I can’t remember everything I used. I have decided to do only a set of 50 limited edition prints of this. They are 70×44 cm and are available by contacting me at ctowns60@hotmail.com
