My apologies for having no originality in flower choice but as you can see, I love my plain old dandelions! Anyway, in this image there are 3 stages of flower from the same plant, the bud, the flower and the post-flower fairy which to me are like 3 generations. I chose the layers and treatment to reflect all 3 generations by being aged yet still bright and not faded. / Have sold 1 x laminated print.

I took this in Feb 2007 in Lower Manhatten. The colour jiggery pokery was done in Dec 07 and since then it’s started to attract some attention. I think the picture captures the iconic nature of the New York cab and also gives a decent impression how cold that place can get in February

The New Road, Brighton, United Kingdom – Brighton is such a funky, colourful city and I tried to convey this into the image. The New road is a newly pedestrian prioritised street which has the famous Royal Pavilion and its gardens on the east side, plus a mixture of galleries, shops, restaurants and the Theatre Royal on the other.

Ive never tried something like this before. Never an artwork emotionally so intense. Would love to thank sandra baraci for the wonderful collab. She has been painting the stunning image of `tracie76 portrait for a while now, which she abandoned in the middle. I really wanted to complete it in my form, and I did. / She says she found the motivation back again to finish the canvas, which is an honour . Thankyou both of you for the wonderful experience.

Jonny and I met up to try out some lightpainting in his attic. We were up there for over 5 hours and got some fantastic images, even if we weren’t very good at it :P / This is the first time I’ve tried any sort of lightpainting or long-exposure shooting really. Sunset song
by KymieI took this photo of the bird on the tree outside my office window today with the work camera – through the glass (because if I had gone outside, I would have scared it away) because there was so much light in behind the bird was dark but, I thought the outline looked cool and I wanted to try layering on photoshop. So, I took a sunset photo from Baylys Beach in NZ I took in 06 and used the Linear option in layers, the flatened the layer so it joined together and lightened a bit, then because the waves in the sunset pic were a bit flat colour wise, I used my friend flood filter. For my first go, I’m wrapped. / Now, I’m not going to lie – it took me about an hour because I didn’t really know what I was doing BUT, I got there in the end LOL

The Peacock Empress is a drawing created a couple of days ago, while at the surgery with my daughter, i had a vision of it which impressed strongly in my mind, and i was able to draw it once I got home. The idea was the Empress was rising up over the waters. There’s lots of symbolism in this, but it’s purely for my own benefit and the viewer may decide how the symbolism relates to them…the colour has been done in Photoshop. She has almost taken on the look of an oriental style “Luna Park” entrance at twilight, might be a nice design for those who celebrate “Chinese New Year” and/or collectors of asian inspired/related art
