The Leura Cascades, found in The Blue Mountains NSW, provide the opportunity to photograph one of natures treats. With this shot I tried something a little different, namely the selective colouring of the running water. A little difficult but I feel it is quite effective.

The first shadesof autumn colour this arch of oaks, its a tradition in town in Australia to line a stretch of road with trees to honour fallen soldiers from that town or city. Australia is now moving into autumn

Watercolour painting. This painting was captured during a painting session in North Clare. I sat on the side of a hill and painted in the rain and wind. The likes was never seen since!!

BEST VIEWED LARGER “Country Roads Take Me Home “ As the Northern Hemispere turns to Spring the Southern Hemisphere turns to autumn. This shot was taken in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area in the township of Mount Wilson. The colours when I visited were great , but with the climate conditions that we are experiencing the colours do not last long. / The natural patterns of autumn, highlighted by the sunlight. There is no colour manipulation here it is a good example of what effect pure HDR has on autumn colours, what is brighter to the human eye is emphasised when opened to High Dynamic Range (HDR) Equipment: Nikon D300 Sigma 10-20mm lens Technique: 5 Bracketted exposures then processed using Photomatix with a slight adjustment to focus in Capture NX. The colours emphasised by the layering process of HDR.
