  • Morning rainbow, Jokulsarlon, Iceland Iceland / Belgium / Italy / France / Hungary / Spain / Sri Lanka / USA / London / Portraits / Other Jokulsarlon is a glacial lake that meets the sea in Iceland. One of the most beautiful places i have been on our little planet Earth. The tragedy is that this beautiful photo would not be possible without global warming. When in a cafe at a petrol station i saw a postcard of Jokulsarlon. One single large iceberg floating in the centre. As you can see now the lake is full. Note: The size if this work was increased using Photoshop CS2. / Best size being around the 50cm wide.

  • It was an early morning start. I was meeting a friend for a sunrise shoot. The location was all planned out, so was the time – unfortunately we still missed each other. It was my fault. I went to the South end of the beach, he was at the Northern end. /   / Sometimes a mistake can actually turn into luck, and this was the case here. A wonderfully still morning, beautiful light and the moon to boot….. /   / I did eventually meet up with my friend after he finally answered his mobile, but wow was I glad I overshot the Northern Entrance…. • On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

  • Sydney is not only blessed by a beautiful coastline providing us with countless beaches, but also some of these beaches have a “rock pool” at the headland. These rock pools provide a great place for the locals to take a dip in the ocean without the waves. Photo Taken: 19-Nov-2006 / Time: 6am / Conditions: Calm, beautiful pre dawn….   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   Some other seascape art: / /   /   / /   /   /

  • The light was changing every minute. I climbed over some huge rocks to get into a great position to take some surfing shots, when suddenly this huge cloud covered up the sun. Suddenly the beautiful light illuminating the waves the surfers were riding was gone. I looked to my left and noticed the light here. Quickly, I grabbed my stuff and setup this shot…..only got one frame, because soon after this the light here was also gone. • A few years ago, Mildura hosted the World Hot Air Balloon Championships. I headed up there for a few days to enjoy the event. Travelling with the competitors was great as I got to see how quickly they measured the weather conditions and set up their balloons. About 80 balloons were raised at about the same time, many of them side-by-side like this, in a rush to take advantage of the best wind conditions. Not only were they pushing against each other on the ground, but the balloons would also bump each other in the air, it was really an amazing sight.

  • Featured in Historic Churches / Featured in Photography 101 / Featured in Colour and light / Featured in Dimensions / Featured in For The Love Of Jesus / Featured in Color Me a Rainbow Taken at Southwell Minster, Nottinghamshire, England. The minster is one of the most interesting and beautiful buildings I have ever been to. Southwell Minster dates back to the 12th century. It was once the retreat of the Archbishop of York. During the English Civil War, it was believed to be used as a stables for Cromwell. Southwell only became a diocese in the the late 19th Century. The windows are so beautiful in the Minster, and on this occasion the light came streaming through turning these ancient pillars into beautiful pallets of colour. “You are the light of the world…..let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14, 16. This was the scripture being read out in the minster the day I visted this extraordinary church and took this picture. I am very familiar with this beautiful building, with its strong columns, ancient carvings, and warm smiles. As I walked around the nave, the sun began to break though the dull cloudy sky which had dominated the morning. The light began to stream through the windows as I turned and saw this amazing view. I set up my camera to get the shot, taking several pictures from different angles. God spoke to me in that moment. He gave me two distinct illustrations about what I was looking at. The first describes us as the strong pillars built by God, either as individuals or as the church, standing strong. He displays His glory and beauty on us, in us, and through us. The second illustration describes us as the window, with each colourful piece of glass representing the different gifts given to us, again either as individuals or as the church, but it is the Son shining through us that shows God to the world. What a thought. We are working in partnership with Him. HP PhotoSmart C945 (Bridge camera) / f/2.8 / 1/6000 / ISO 200
