  • Satellite, oh, satellite / Who sits upon our skies / How deep do you see when you spy into our lives? I know that god lives in everybody’s souls / And the only devil in your world / Lives in the human heart So now ask yourself / What is human? and what is truth? / Ask yourself / Whose voice is it? that whispers unto you? / From the cellars of your homes / From the tops of your city roofs / Ask yourself / Whose voice is it? that whispers unto you? Who is it? / That turns your blood into spirit and your spirit into blood Who is it? / That can reach down from above and set yours souls ablaze with love / Or fill you with the insanity of violence and it’s brother: lust Who is it? / Whose words have been twisted beyond recognition / In order to build your planet earth’s religions Who is it? / Who could make your little armies of the left / And your little armies of the right / Light up your skies tonight Now some of you may live and some of you may die / But remember / That nothing in the world can kill you inside / For he is thinking of you / In your great cities of great solitude Oh children you’ve still got a lot to fuckin’ learn / The only path to heaven is via hell Good morning beautiful, good morning beautiful / Good morning beautiful, good bye world The The

  • Lauren La Rouge- fabulous Sydney based Burlesque performer. / This latest shoot with my favorite model/performer started disastrously with my studio flash not working and my backup dying as well. I had a professional hair and makeup artist in and it was all a bit embarrassing. However, I plowed on, abandoning the lighting ideas I had been toying with and using the light from the two spot lights on the ceiling and concentrating on pose and composition. / This is where photoshop and digital photography is such a revolution. / I salvaged a bad situation and created images that I am very satisfied with.

  • Had a real ‘moodie” feel to it the morning this was taken….... .....

  • We all spend a part of each day, just waiting for something…a phone call…a bus to come…the traffic to move…the kettle to boil…a holiday…a pay rise…love…happiness…success…a file to upload. / Perhaps you’ve been waiting your whole life for something to happen? / Or maybe it’s just about to…any minute now.

  • A dawn shot from a series I shot from the East Beach in Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland. The Bin of Cullen, which is further down the East coast, is the hill in the distance. Nikon D80 / Manual / 4s at f11.0 / ISO 100 / 18.0-70.0mm f/3.5-4.5 at 18mm / 0.9 ND soft Grad. / tripod / remote release

  • Did this for a “purple haze” themed comp on inspi.re – enjoyed it. Still learning how to do this type of thing…

  • Acrylic, contrast levels changed in Photoshop. I painted this for my best friend & her new house & bare walls. I framed it in a big antique & intricate frame from god only knows where. She always looks over her shoulder at me when I come to visit.

  • Featured in Children the Power of Raw Emotion – August 09 – Thank you!! Featured in All About Hearts – July 09 – A very big thank you to the hosts! Featured in Canon DSLR – June 09 – thank you so much!! Featured in The Woman Photographer – June 09 – thank you very much to the hosts! This portrait of Mila (2) was taken in the back garden. Her older sister, Perrin, ran around behind her holding a black cloth to act as a ‘backdrop’ for me. In true 2 year old style, she decided today was the day that she would NOT smile, and as for looking at the camera… you can forget it. Keeping still was also not an option. So this is the end result of a frustrating shoot, but maybe the more interesting for it. Canon 400D, natural light, pp in photoshop CS2.

  • Labyrinths have always had a magical and slightly daunting effect on me. Possibly influenced by the David Bowie / Jennifer Connelly 80s movie. Walking around in the walls of a labyrinth, you have lost all your friends, but can still hear them in the distance, somewhere. Not sure where you are or where you are going, you stumble across an open area, an old forest. You see a makeshift burrow, made out of old stones, looks like it’s been there for hundreds of years. As you get closer, you hear soft whimpering coming from within. As you get to the old wooden door, you can clearly hear a child crying inside. That’s when you hear the growling behind you… Taken in Prague, along an old overgrown path, on the way to the hill that overlooks the whole city. I clearly remember looking at this and having a small shiver. • Different? My depiction of the mind of someone in personal struggle with society. The light and the dark, happy and sad, known and unknown. All of this moving with random thought processes, pop culture, gossip, media influence, culture clashes and a lot of the time, white noise to fill whatever silence is left. This is modern society. Confusing, confronting, intimidating and at times down right scary. Which way do we go? Title of this piece I have borrowed from one of my favourite songs: “..can I please have some silence. How about some space..“ / Mindcircus – Way Out West. City Of Melbourne Musuem. Not the one in Carlton, housing dinosaur bones and relics though. This is the nondescript one on Spring Street, in the old Treasury Building. It showcases the history of Melbourne as a city, from colonisation to today. This was taken in the vaults, underground. Which have been turned into an interactive journey through the gold rush days. This particular room had only a tv and light in it, both of modern look. The contrast grabbed my attention straight away. It had a spooky yet familiar effect on me. I didn’t know what to make of it, but I kept looking at it, unsure what to think or feel. Slight crop of original photo. Desaturated all and selectively coloured tv screen. Increased contrasted and brightness to achieve higher levels of mood. • In Oughterard, Connemara, you will this bridge in the middle of Owenriff river. It leads to a tiny little island. I have no idea why, since the island is so small there is nothing there, just trees.
