White Tree Nymph Butterfly feeding on a plant
A streetlamp with a taste of France, ancient France (but i don’t confess where is). / Perhaps Balzac walked around it.
A dreamscape, but also a metaphor, a symbol. / Unconscious flows and you’re at its gates. / Be brave – let’s swim.

There are five main dialects of Ojibwe: Western Ojibwe, Eastern Ojibwe, Northern Ojibwe (Severn Ojibwe or Oji-Cree), Southern Ojibwe (Minnesota Ojibwe or Chippewa), and Ottawa (Odawa or Odaawa). The Ottawa have always been politically independent from the Ojibwe, but their language is essentially the same—speakers of all five dialects, including Ottawa, can understand each other readily. Many linguists also consider the Algonquin language to be an Ojibwe dialect, but it has diverged more and is difficult for Western Ojibwe speakers to understand. As its name suggests, Oji-Cree has borrowed many elements from Cree and is often written in the Cree syllabary rather than the English alphabet.” ~ Source ~ http://www.native-languages.org/chippewa.htm Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
From my collection: / Natural Impressions Featured Art 10 January 2009 Mood and Ambience / Featured Art in many other wonderful groups as well, so many I lost count. Mahalo nui to all the moderators, thank you so much! A composite image of two of my photographs: Alaska Midday Sun and the exquisite black sand beach of Hamoa, Maui Hawai’i “When He Himself reveals Himself, / Brahma brings into manifestation That which can never be seen. / As the seed is in the plant, / as the shade is in the tree, / as the void is in the sky, / as infinite forms are in the void ~ / So from beyond the Infinite, the Infinite comes; / and from the Infinite the finite extends. The creature is in Brahma, and Brahma is in the creature: / they are ever distinct, yet ever united. / He Himself is the tree, the seed, and the germ. / He Himself is the flower, the fruit, and the shade. / He Himself is the sun, the light, and the lighted. / He Himself is Brahma, creature, and Maya. / He Himself is the manifold form, the infinite space; / He is the breath, the word, and the meaning. / He Himself is the limit and the limitless: / and beyond both the limited and the limitless / is He, the Pure Being. He is the Immanent Mind in Brahma and in the creature. / The Supreme Soul is seen within the soul, / The Point is seen within the Supreme Soul, / And within the Point, / the reflection is seen again. / Kabir is blessed because he has this supreme vision!” / Songs of Kabir ~ Translated by Rabindranath Tagore ~ Introduction by Evelyn Underhill ~ 1915 Copyright 2009 – 2010 © Sharon Mau / ourjrny / The Heart Within the Art / My images do not belong to the public domain. / Reproduction is strictly prohibited. / All rights reserved Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi Currently with 2358+ Views 92 Favourites 189 Comments and 1 Sale

Close-Up Abstract Photograph
Painted from a photo I got sitting on my roof during a storm.
Rays of sunlight seeping through the clouds on a Mediterranean dusk
The glow of city lights behind a tree in the grounds of an apartment block in Manchester.
I took this at Uluru while standing under an overhanging rock face that led into a cave with aboriginal paintings on the walls. I love the difference in the lighting, going from inside to outside.
