  • Great as an Easter card, it could also be used to underline a more special event. There are a lot of symbols in here aside from the obvious. Eggs represent the Creation, the four elements and life itself. It is a powerful symbol of birth and rebirth. The butterfly is a symbol of transformation, love and joy. In some cultures, it is also associated with feminineness, beauty and fragility. More often, we see it representing freedom. This is a composite made of 2 flower photos and one of a butterfly, altered to look like an illustration and used twice here in two different hues. The egg has been created digitally. • Bright wildflower carpet

  • This windswept tree stood alone in a field but it wasn’t feeling sorry for itself because it knew it wasn’t alone in the world. It could see the beauty in nature all around it, the passing birds and animals, the distant mountains and the hedges running along side of the fields and the colourful flowers and grasses reaching for the blue sky high above. So when you start feeling sorry for yourself thinking you are alone, just take a long hard look around you and see you are not alone. This shot was taken through the fence at the Highland Wildlife Park 7 miles south of Aviemore.
