This was taken from the car again, this is near the town of Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire, you can see the showers breaking over the hills but we were fortunate to stay dry at this point, not for long though asthe clod got nearer the heavens opened…
Bramble Hill Golf Course, George, South Africa Some Links to My Pics:
In a fit of nostalgia remembering my heritage, and seeing and hearing the English spirit. / Land of hope and glory, Elgar Dear Land of Hope, thy hope is crowned. / God make thee mightier yet! / On Sov’reign brows, beloved, renowned, / Once more thy crown is set. / Thine equal laws, by Freedom gained, / Have ruled thee well and long; / By Freedom gained, by Truth maintained, / Thine Empire shall be strong. Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free, / How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee? / Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set; / God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet. / God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet. Thy fame is ancient as the days, / As Ocean large and wide: / A pride that dares, and heeds not praise, / A stern and silent pride: / Not that false joy that dreams content / With what our sires have won; / The blood a hero sire hath spent / Still nerves a hero son.
Have you ever asked a man to ””””””””watch the Kids?”””””””” A man’s idea of watching the Kids is very different to a women’s. This is a painting of my husband watching the Kids. / One thing I love about living in an outback town like Broken Hill, is that you can drive for 10 minutes out of town and find a lovely shady creek bed. Every now and then we do get rain. There is nothing more that kids love than splashing and playing in a creek water hole. / Medium: Acrylic on Board. Pallet Knife. The original painting is still available. / see www.suehodge.com.au / For more prints by Sue Hodge visit: http://ochresands.redbubble.com
The Sculptures are located about 8 km from Broken Hill. They sit on top of a hill over looking the town and the vast outback arid desert. / I used the pallet knife for this work to give a textured affect. Hubbard Hills, Louth, Lincolnshire on a cold and frosty autumn morning
The wonderful rich colours of the fortified medieval village of Eze perched on a narrow rocky peak up in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, France. Quite a tourist attraction now, it has been beautifully restored. / I climbed the ancient path up the hills from Eze Sur Mer where I had got off the train from Nice a short distance away, not actually realising the only way to get up there from the coastal Eze was pretty much a mountain track! and of course I was the only one on it! I swear I badly needed oxygen after an hour of climbing but wow once you got there, what a treat. / Make sure you get there early though, I arrived just before 9am just as the shopkeepers were opening up and before any other tourists got there so i was able to savour the beauty and atmosphere. /

The foothills at Champion Lakes, in the Southern Suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Looks like a bushfire has gone though the area, as all the trees are burnt out along the left side of the hill in this photo. EOS 500D. You can read about this photo shoot in MY BLOG
The colours reflected on the clouds at sunrise. This shot was taken near Kanmantoo in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
the landscape out here is so ancient, full of colour and texture. / I love the way these hills are contoured and roll away into the distance
