Enjoy!
The fall colours in Nova Scotia can be so beautiful. This picture was taken from a spot in West Pennant called Hospital Hill. Hospital Hill is a couple of miles back in the woods but well worth the hike! When you climb to the top of the hill the views are spectacular, ocean in one direction and hills in the other.
Enjoy! _

Below is the previous unfinished work which received overwhelming support – thought I would post it for those of you who wanted to compare or couldn’t remember… /

Another early morning landscape thats had the “flooded” treatment!!
The painting is based on a photo I took on Dartmoor a few years ago. The light was fantastic and I’ve expanded on that to create this vibrant landscape.
These autumn colours and reflections were taken at Oakbank, Adelaide Hills, South Australia, Australia, in autumn (obviously). I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D on a tripod. This is an HDR shot. I used 3 shots merged together with Photomatix Pro. This was details enhanced.

Autumnal colours deep in the woods are picked out by the late sunlight. I’m sure little eyes are watching as I take the shot. Harrow Weald Common, Middlesex.

The Sturt Desert Pea is a beautiful wild flower that grows in outback Australia. The Original painting has sold, but not without a story. I had some people come into my gallery saying that they were wanting a painting of Sturt Desert Peas. They said they couldn’t find one anywhere in Broken Hill. My husband kindly offered for me to paint them one. They said they were leaving town in two days and could I have it finished by then? My husband said ””””not a problem”””” – he is a great beleiver. I was not so convinced, but I said I would try. I worked all evening, all the next day and evening until I was satisfied and pleased with the painting. They were due to pick the painting up the next morning. They never came back. Lesson learned: When it comes to Art people are fickle. Always get a deposit and don’t trust their enthusiasm. Always try and do the right thing by others, but don’t expect others to do the right thing by you. Getting angry at others letting you down isn’t worth the energy. / Whoever buys this print, please remember that rich beauty can come out of trying circumstances. The Sturt Desert Pea is a living example – immense beauty growing in the harshest environment. Sue. Oil Pastel And Acrylic On Wood (With Minor Digital Enhancements) All of us need HOPE in our lives and these are some of my favourite quotes on that :D “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars” – Oscar Wilde “Hope is the dream of a soul awake.” – A French Proverb “The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is to live inside that hope.” – Barbara Kingsolver (Know of someone who needs the extra “lift” in his/her life? May this be a card of encouragement to that someone you care) You can view and buy my other “Hope Lifts Me Higher” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:

Shot somewhere near Ullswater in the English lake district national park Cumbria…. / Single shot Raw HDR tonemapped image processed using Photoshop and Photomatix HDR software.. / Shot with a Nikon D300 DSLR and using a 18-70mm lens. /
Hand drawn and digitally coloured. One of my favourite shows is Outrageous Fortune, and one of the characters Pascalle West has an incredible storyline about being a kind of new age guru who tries to change everyone’s lives. She gives everyone raw food and pep talks, so I decided to create motivational posters for her :D / This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 2.5 Australia License
