This shot I captured on slide film using a 1980 model Minolta SLR with a Tamron 300mm Zoom Lens. Then scanned in using a Nikon coolscan 8000 Slide Scanner. / It is taken from the Newcastle Harbour foreshore looking over the water to the Old steel works. The colour and real film grain is fantastic.

Opened in 1993, Sovereign Harbour is the largest composite marina in the UK, encompassing The Waterfront retail complex and surrounded by an expanding, high quality residential area. Over 600 permanent berth holders and some 3,000 visiting yachts each year are testament to our growing popularity and Sovereign Harbour’s ideal location for both short stopovers and longer stays.
This picture was taken at about 9pm, when I took this shot there was a helicopter flying over, I was hoping to get a light ‘streaking’ effect from it. But I ended up with what I think looks like Aliens ripping through the sky to invade to famous landmark. Let me know what you think, thanks for looking!

This one was shot from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. I was lucky enough to record a long exposure with a ferry moving across the entire frame. I really love the final result of this photo. Exposure was 30 sec, f9, ISO 100. Thanks for looking .. :)
