  • Dog Rocks,Geelong

  • This is part of a series that I am working on. Called morning noon and evening. My thought is to have the same background image in 3 variations showing how one place can evolve and change moods. I have reasently created a second image / / Noon

  • A still, calm evening at Dog Rocks and we were blessed with the sunset colours shimmering on the small lake !!

  • Took this a couple of weeks ago of my little girl at the beach and realised it’s potential this morning when I started to play with the colour, light and layers so of course I though that I would share!

  • / . / Presentation of my poetry book You may also purchase my second poetry book / (I could send it for you by post) THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC IMAGE FOR VIEW) / . /

  • Or maybe just show off!! This is my hubby ‘trying’ his best to do a hand stand at the beach a few days ago! Probably not one of my ‘artistic best’ but nevertheless fun! Enjoy :o)

  • It is not how it looked in the viewfinder but it is how I wanted it to look in the end. The process of creating photographs is one with endless possibilities between the accurate recordings and significant transformations through camera settings and post processing steps. There is no "right" way to do all this and all options are available – at least for the open minded. So we choose the shutter speed, set the aperture, widen the angle or zoom in, highlight some elements, darken others, sharpen somethings, blur others, saturate and de-saturate, blend and hide,... all which change and transform the raw photo into something interesting for the eye – at times even visual art. Here I tried to create a piece of work that resembled the reality but also transcended into new visual dimensions which could not be seen by the human eye on location – merely in my mind. The long exposure and various post processing steps made this possible. The raw material was captured on Havskåren, a tiny island in the Oslofjord by the Nøtterøy archipelago. I posted this because I liked how the composition turned out. I also love the colors – muted yet warm and inviting. Earth colors. I hope you enjoy this work as much as I enjoyed creating it.

  • My other works: / A LARGER view to see more in detail… / (Long side is only 1024 here) Featured in the group SEA Featured in the group Bubblers’ Weekly Challenge EXIF: / Taken with a Canon EOS 400D Digital. • Captured on Princess Stree in the darkness of the dawn light. I just love light-trails from vehicles in these kinds of pictures. I had to stand in the middle of the road with traffic flowing past in the early hours to get this shot, but I think it was worth the danger;) I was born in Edinburgh Scotland, and was always amazed as a child at the crowds of people along Princess Street. It always seemed to be teeming with life. Today Princess Street is being ruined by the local council’s traffic schemes and most of the high class shops have been replaced by tourist shops selling garbage. IMHO:-) One day it will spring back into life again, I’m sure. / Captured with Nikon D700 and 24-120mm: On a tripod with a small aperture and daylight WB setting, ISO 100. Long exposure.

  • On Zazzle / on DeviantART Strongly inspired by Kagerou ... all the flowy red and orange hair, and a bit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night as well, for the background. A fierce and free magechild, who commands the fire of the night and moves through their own imagination at will… / Basically, controls the realm of dreams. / (also, Kagerou is possibly maybe initially believed to be a crazy-dream-journey) ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet

  • Sunset over Vasse Estuary, Busselton Western Australia. And no, this is not the Sun reflection in the water, just a lamp. Captured with Nikon D300 and 18 – 200 Nikkor VR lens. Exposure 6.0 sec at f / 4.2, ISO 200. Featured in Lakes and Inland Waterways group 14/04/2009

  • / Canvas Print / / Framed Print / / Greeting Card Moonlit Tide coloured pencil, pencil, charcoal, pastels on paper another in the “Connections” series of dry media on paper, I completed this today. / this young lady dressed in her patterned hawaiian hibiscus moo moo, is representational of how healing still water is, particularly on a moonlit night at eventide. Peace, tranquility, harmony….oneness with nature

  • The evening sun gives me hope for a new day tomorrow..

  • Barbed wire fence partially submerged in a lake. Taken shortly after ‘Lakeside’ also in my folio. / Canon 5D mkII 24-70 f2.8L. / I must admit I’m surprised how popular this one is – it’s been faved over 60 times!

  • This is another shot of the coal loader at Catherine Hill Bay NSW, Australia. This was just after the sun went down, I love taking photos here.

  • Let’s sit and talk awhile. / / Fireweed in Alaska. Nikon D200 and Nikkor 105mm, 105mm, at f/8 and 1/125 sec, -0.3ev, IS0 100. Converted from 12-bit RAW to jpeg using Capture NX 2.1, manual exposure. Manfrotto tripod. Curves and other slight editing using Capture NX2.1

  • Rota Island – August 2009 / straight out of the camera / Life on this island is friendly and unhurried and the hospitality is as unforgettable as the magical sunsets. Rota Island is a natural playground with around 3000 inhabitants and is known by many to be Micronesia’s best-kept secret / Rota (Chamoru: Luta) also known as the “peaceful island”, is the southernmost island of the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and the second southernmost of the Marianas Archipelago. It lies approximately 40 miles north-northeast of the United States territory of Guam. Songsong village is the largest and most populated followed by Sinapalo village (Sinapalu). In 1521, the first European to see Rota, was the lookout on Magellan’s ship Victoria, Lope Navarro. However, Magellan’s Armada of three ships didn’t stop until they reached Guam, so the first European to arrive in Rota (in 1524), was Spanish navigator Juan Sebastian Elcano, who annexed it together with the rest of the Marianas Archipelago on behalf of the Crown of Spain. Rota has diverse flora and fauna.. / Wikipedia ©2009/2010 Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.
